Google's New Logo for Today

For those of you old school video game players, check out Google's new logo. And yes it's playable! Click "Insert Coin" to play!

Use the arrow keys on the keyboard to move. Might be hard to play on the iPhone or Blackberry, though.

EDIT: By the way, Google did it to honor Pac-Man's 30th Anniversary this year. It was first released in Japan on May 22, 1980. Pac-Man is one of only three video games on display at the Smithsonian and remains one of the most well-known and popular video game characters in the world.

pretty cool marketing.

cool. I just cleared the board.

It's been fun, you can also start it the first time by clicking it, and the mouse can control pac-man too. (as I found out when I first clicked on it to play this morning.)

Cool, I'll have to try that, Snow.

EDIT: If you click "Insert Coin" twice in a row, Ms. Pac-Man appears as "player 2". Haven't found a way to get her to move instead of Pac-Man, but it's still pretty cool.

Somebody where I work had their computer speakers on and all of a sudden I heard the Pac-Man music. I asked if they were on Google and then we began playing. Pretty soon everyone came around and we all started playing and then got into a half-hour video game conversation. Pretty good Friday afternoon at work :)

I might've been wrong, cause when I just randomly clicked on the image, to use the arrow keys, he started moving right, I was clicking on the right so I assumed that was why. Forgot he starts off moving to the right to begin with.

*Edit* yup you can mouse control it, by clicking in the direction to go. Up down left and right, you have to click within the game map though.

Well, it was fun while it lasted. Here's hoping Google does something similar for the Super Mario Bros. 30th anniversary. ;)
