Agree that we need Ripley, but getting Bishop is still a huge deal! Thank you NECA!

We won't be getting Ripley from NECA anytime soon, guys. According to NECA's Randy Falk, Sigourney Weaver doesn't like to share her likeness to figures and collectibles. Main reason why there's no Ripley figure with SW likeness yet. I heard she only lent her likeness on the Avatar toys as a favor to James Cameron.

Unless of course a miracle happens and NECA surprises us during Comic Con by announcing that they got SW's likeness and that they will be making Ripley... with a power loader!!! /nerdgasm LOL

So then NECA should just do what Mattel did with the Dana figure in their Ghostbusters line and use a generic face for a Ripley figure with the correct hair style and clothing. It's better than nothing. This line will not be complete without Ripley, her Powerloader, and Newt.

People always say we won't get a Ripley for whatever reason but we will. Hot Toys made Ripley in 1/6 and 1/18 scales not that long ago. NECA can make a Ripley as well. She'll come, and so will the power loader. All we have to do is keep buying the Aliens figures and NECA will keep making them.

Can't wait for this figure. I'm behind on getting these, noticed people have been picking up the warriors and Hicks, how many waves are there so far?

Just one wave so far. Hicks, Hudson, and the Alien Warrior. I'm thrilled that we're getting Bishop, because it confirms a 2nd wave is on the way. I wonder who else might appear in it. Hopefully not just Bishop and 2 more alien variants. Might NECA actually give us another Marine??

And Hot Toys Ripley didn't look anything like her. The likeness would be a deal breaker on a Ripley figure (which could at least be in aliens and alien 3 style) as I think Neca aren't crazy on female characters, even if they are the stars. Maybe if the line goes big, then neca will at least do a Vasquez figure with that awesome gun. It's cool to see a Bishop getting made, hopefully in normal and covered in yoghurt, break-away variant to go with the xeno queen

Didn't I read somewhere that a Queen Alien is already in the works by them, or did I imagine that? I wonder how much better it will be compared to the McFarlane version from years ago.

They weren't the spitting image of SW, but they looked enough like "Ripley" for most people. I don't believe the likeness would be a deal breaker for most fans with a NECA Ripley. It certainly didn't hurt the sales of the Hot Toys figures, which are still in high demand. Sure there were people who cried about them not looking enough like SW, but the number of people who bought them because they wanted Ripley in their collection was greater. Would be the same for a NECA Ripley that didn't look exactly like SW.
