Xmen Origins DEADPOOL??

out of the two deadpools which do you like best? and what parts from each deadpool do you like?

trebleshot 05-24-2010 12:34 PM

Comic all the way. The Baraka-wannabe is not Deadpool.

TheSymbiote 05-24-2010 12:39 PM

well i meant out of the two comic deadpools that were released, like the single figure and then the one with cannon

scarecrow 05-24-2010 02:41 PM

The original comic version, not the deluxe version. I like that they went for a more "crazy-faced" Deadpool for the deluxe, but I like that the regular Deadpool is just neutral.

I'm not one of the people that is in favor of Deadpool always being represented as a cracked out, 4th wall breaking fool. It's funny, but Deadpool has some serious depth that gets forgotten and the deluxe version just reminds me that to most people, he's just a silly 90's character that has retained popularity.

/elitism :p

Soupy 05-24-2010 04:20 PM

Is it just me or are the hands on the deluxe one too small in proportion to the rest of his body?

prowl26 05-24-2010 04:42 PM

They are too small on top of being molded oddly.

Robogeek28 05-24-2010 07:17 PM

I prefer the deluxe DP over the regular one, I just wish I had him still, ah well.

Prem1x 05-24-2010 07:21 PM

I favor the more muscular sculpting on deluxe Deadpool. The hands might not grip well, but some hot water fixes that.

Ah. Well, since I have yet to pick up the deluxe version, I would say the single pack is my favorite. My opinion might change once I get the deluxe.

And I agree about Wade's character development. Sure he breaks the 4th wall a lot (which I love), but he's also a complete sociopath who would, could and has tried to kill just about everything at one point or another. Which to me makes him a very unpredictable adversary and makes his stories more intriguing.

Yeah, I love the silliness too.

I pretty much always say this, but if you all want a really great example of the potential Deadpool has as a real character, read the Mithras storyline. I'll never get over how good the whole arc is- Or how great Joe Kelly is. I swear this is the last time I'm saying this for awhile haha. I just never tire of how awesome Deadpool is in his stories.

TheSymbiote 05-26-2010 10:26 AM

Ok i got another Question

Which Deadpool do you think is better?
The Marvel Select Deadpool
http://i978.photobucket.com/albums/a..._690775916.jpg
Or The Marvel Legends Two Pack Deadpool
http://i978.photobucket.com/albums/a...15/N85_656.jpghttp://i978.photobucket.com/albums/a...15/N85_649.jpg

i have the MS deadpool pre-ordered but i think im gonna cancel it because i want to get the ML Deadpool

scarecrow 05-26-2010 02:23 PM

There's no question that the Legends one is better. The Marvel Select one is neat, but I'd never pick a Marvel Select over a Legends figure.

Although I do like that the Marvel Select is more like old Deadpool... Though I still dig his harness on the ML one.

ludovicotek 05-26-2010 02:30 PM

^ Agreed. I only buy the Select figures if it makes sense for them to be proportionately larger than the Legends, or if I just got to have it.

trebleshot 05-27-2010 01:47 PM

Definitely the ML one. I'm still very happy with DP's first ML figure, but the 2-pack version will allow me to get the newer costume. Still not sure what I'd do with Warpath, though.

Sage o' G-fruit 05-27-2010 06:54 PM

2-pack, by far. That toy looks brilliant..

Agreed. I need to pawn it off immediately.

I'm just happy I get a shot at a ML Deadpool for under $80 now! :D

TheSymbiote 05-27-2010 10:57 PM

im pretty sure its not hard to belive that toywiz is selling the toybiz deadpool for $224.99.

only1 left in stock too.LOL

Sentinel Prime 05-27-2010 11:27 PM

MU:
I far prefer the XMO Deadpool to the deluxe version, though it's mainly just the fact that in my mind DP just looks more like the XMO figure. To me, the Deluxe version is just too bulky and muscular, DP shouldn't be that big and steroided to me. Although the way the hands are bent downward keeps him from holding....well, anything in the correct postion.

ML:
Two pack, just overall better appearance and will scale with the other MLs.

Snowflakian 05-27-2010 11:47 PM

XMO: Single carded all the way. Granted he can't hold his swords, but there's just something comedic about him that works in MU with X-Force or any other hero or Joe.

ML/S: ML all the way. The select looks fantastic, but again the ML one just has that Deadpool vibe, that comedic feeling, that liveliness to his design that just evokes Wade Wilson shenanigans.

yourfacehere 08-04-2010 05:41 AM

I was really dissapointed in all the new deadpools, the silver web gear pisses me off. I have the deluxe Dp but the quality in the XMO line reeks, his left hip is outta wack, but I still like it better than the first comic release. I've had my Toybiz Deadpool since first release(last one on the shelf) and he still rocks, but I'm still getting the marvel select one. You could say I'm a DP fan from way back, so I really only like black, brown, or black red trim webgear, I'm also not too crazy about sweat bands or double gloves. My idea of a great Deadpool is the one on the suicide kings #1....so really it depends on your favorite style of deadpool, either way the legends variant rocks.
