I've also always wondered if avocados were the egg inspiration. who could possibly know such a thing?

I'm curious about the sign that was on display at SDCC teasing a line for the original ALIEN film next year. How are they going to pull that off if they still can't make Ripley? It's going to be pretty odd to get an ALIEN line with just the alien and Dallas and some of the other crew, but not RIPLEY herself! Besides, they are already releasing the original film's Alien in the next wave of their current ALIENS line. Maybe they should have saved him for the first wave next year.

You bring up some great points. I have a feeling that they will reveal Ripley for sure. Release her in her Alien look, and then release the iconic Aliens Ripley afterward. At least that's what I'm hoping, because you're right: you cannot have an Alien line without her.

Or as I've said before -- just release a Ripley with a generic face, as Mattel did with their Dana Barrett figure in the 6" Ghostbusters line. I don't care if its a generic face as long as the hairstyle and costume are accurate. It's better than nothing. Give us Ripley from the first film with a flamethrower, and then a deluxe Ripley from ALIENS with a power loader (and maybe Newt).
