El Dorado - DC 3.75
 

Finally got the head for the look I wanted for this classic character update.

i always wondered if they named him after the 'city of el Dorado' or just named him el dorado due to his gold? if they named him after the city then it would be a geographical mistake...

He's Mexican and there's an El Dorado in Mexico so... I don't know. I think honestly when he was designed they didn't know/care and were like YOLO IT'S ALL THE SAME SOUTH OF THE US

I think it's a nice take on the character regardless!

Totally wrong. if the creator of el dorado was referring to the 'City of Dorado' then he is Colombian not mexican, there never was a city called El Dorado in mexico LOL it was in Colombia so the el dorado/character could be geographically wrong...the native indians from Colombia were called Chibchas but im assuming since the aztecs have more fame they put them instead of the Chibcha indians. nice try but no cigar...

I never said it was a city.

And I said that because I tried to find a possible way that he wasn't named out of ignorance (even though as noted in my second sentence, he probably was) because I choose to believe that not everyone is ignorant/racist by default. Giving the benefit of the doubt, if you will.

dude, are you serious? focus on what im saying! im not talking about a "fishing town" like your link said...im talking about El Dorado which was a mystical city of Gold in Colombia plus Wiki is not a good source for info, anyone can modify it...

And the whole "don't trust wiki anybody can edit it lulz" falls apart when it's equally easy to Google it to verify.
