NECA Alien Queen Confirmed
|
Wonder how much of an improvement it will be over the McFarlane version from a few years ago.
And of course the release of this will once again prompt the question of if we'll ever get a Ripley figure (and powerloader) to take on said queen. Said it before and I'll say it again -- to hell with likeness rights. Just make a Ripley with a generic face as Mattel did for their Ghostbusters Dana Barrett figure. |
^ I'm sure it will be an improvement on the McFarlance version, which came out 10 years ago (wow!) That one had great sculpting and a cool base, but hopefully NECA can incorporate some more articulation.
But I couldn't agree with you more about Ripley. The likeness does not have to be spot on for me, just a passing resemblance and I'm good. It's more about the hair and outfit anyway. |
While this is exciting, I'll definitely hold out til I see some pics to get really stoked. I'm still pretty happy with the size and detail of the McFarlane queen. But yeah, we start talkin' Power Loaders, then you'll have my wallet's attention.
