Problems getting paint to stick to Headcasts?
Hey folks,
I use a lot of custom cast heads for projects, but one thing I noticed is that often times I end up having issues getting paint to stick to them. I do the normal wash/scrub prep like I would for any other paint job, but paint just never seems to stick that great to them (I use Testors Model Master acryls mostly). Do a lot of you prime your head casts before painting? I never use primer for my projects, but I'm thinking it might be necessary for headcasts. Let me know! Thanks. |
You should probably prime them first. I don't customize myself yet but from what I see when plastic or resin is too slippery for paints, they tell you to prime it on tutorials.
