Those Comics in Your Basement? Probably Worthless
Saw this on Yahoo so true. A bit glad I've been trading my comics in for figures... Those Comics in Your Basement? Probably Worthless - Yahoo Finance
|
In a way, I'm kind of glad it happened like this. Monetary value seemed to ruin the fun in buying comics because it took away the appreciation factors. Growing up, I always enjoyed the stories and art associated with comic books (I'm still an avid reader), and during the Nineties, there was a craze involving buying the books bagged & boarded and never reading them due to the possibility of decreasing the value. Similarly, kids didn't seem to open up their toy packages either. Now we're left with unlimited supplies of worthless, unread comics and boxed Nineties toys. Kids missed out on a lot of fun two decades ago! Now that we're aware of their actual value, we can enjoy the comics and toys for what they actually are.
