NECA Gets Halo License

NECA To Release Quarter Scale Halo Figures and More

ciberw0lf 11-13-2013 06:10 AM

Well, the articulation can't be worst then McFarlane figures. Just hope I can afford a few of the figures and the prop/motorcycle gear will make great cosplay fodder

Joe Moore 11-13-2013 06:14 AM

The 1/4 scale figures will be between $88 - $100, so that's not too terrible. Certainly less expensive than the 1/6 Halo scale stuff from 3A. But they should look pretty awesome, especially since it should be easy to hide joints on figures like the Chief.

One step closer to getting the whole thing away from McFarlane.

Excellent news, can't wait to see what they look like.

This press release is too vague. I need to know which parts of the franchise they're going to be making products for. If they're only making stuff for Halo 4 and up, then I have no interest at all.

As exciting as this news is, it would be incredibly more so if they were able to do 7" figures. I'm ready for McFailure to be replaced. I've never bought a large scale figure before, but what I've seen of NECA's stuff, I would be tempted by a Chief.

That said, I can't wait to see what replicas they do. Cortana's chip is inevitable, but I would love to see replicas of the janis key and index. Weapon replicas would be cool, but I'm not sure they would make them. Honestly, I'm not really sure what other objects they could make replicas of, unless they made small scale models of vehicles, which could be interesting.

I don't own a bike, and even I'm interested to see how these helmets turn out.

I'm really curious if the mini figures they're talking about are 3 3/4" figures or the disproportioned mini ones.

I would shit my pants if my halo toys could fit in with gi joe, star wars, mortal kombat, marvel universe, and so on and so forth.

I think if it was 3 3/4 scale they'd just say it rather then "minifigure", but it's certainly a nice thought.

What's considered a mini figure by NECA's standards?

Optimus Neeson 11-15-2013 02:04 AM

Maybe NECA will produce this statue that Sideshow seems to have put off for too long.
