So tempted to get the SF line since I am a fan...must stick with Marvel...

I know the feeling. All too often I've tried to put limits on myself regarding various toy lines over the years, only to see myself get sucked in all the way. You know, one or two additional figures whose purchase is somehow justified even though they don't follow the original "rules". It's such an easy, gradual descent that only when I hit bottom did I realize the true depth of that rabbit hole.

As for Cammy, I'm looking forward to seeing the full reveal. I completely agree with Joe in that she's probably the most perfect SF character for this line.

Too true, although the SF line may be reasonable since there's only so many females to begin with...hmm....maybe. The DC side way too many they can produce as well as Marvel, but Marvel I'm all in, except when they do another pose or what not of the same character. These things do tend to hold there value as well. May need to go to my LCS and see if he can get the Chun-Li pre ordered....This one looks better then Chun-Li though...

She's gonna look so great next to my Tekken Bishoujo figures :)

Ooh can you post a display pic? Would love to see it. Man so so tempted to get her and Chun, but then I may fall into getting the Tekkens ones as well:P Arg. This line is pretty awesome I must say.

The sculpting is excellent with nice muscle detail. Very nice pose and face. And a decent butt that's not too flat (a peeve for me of female figures).

Yeah, definitely. Should I post it here or is there a spot specifically for that? So far, I only have Alisa (just recently got her) and Christie (who I bought as soon as she was released). As much as I like Asuka and Lili, in the game, I'm not impressed by their Bishoujo figures, so I passed on them. Alisa and Christie look amazing, and those two just don't compare. I had high hopes for Jaycee in the game, but was let down, so I feel completely indifferent about buying her statue, even though I like the sculpt.
I'm considering possibly picking up Ling soon; maybe in a few days or maybe early 2014, depending on how my Christmas shopping budget holds up. And, as soon as Jun is released in a few months, I'm definitely getting her.

Feel free to post it here. Kind of surprise you don't just get them all. These things actually go up in value as well. I was about to sell off my first Psylocke for the new one that's coming out and made some extra cash as well.

So cool!! She will be mine, along with Chun Li.
I was hoping for Sakura as the 3rd entry to the line, but it looks like it's going to be Yuri.. Too bad!!

My Tekken
 

Since Tekken merch isn’t available as abundantly as products from other game franchises, and because I love the Tekken series so much, if I had the extra cash, I could probably look past the flaws of those other Tekken statues and pick them up too. Being a full-time student who only has the time to work part-time, my disposable income is somewhat limited. With so much cool stuff coming out lately, it can be very frustrating, especially at times like today, when I concluded that with the January release of the Spider-Man and Captain America Marvel Legends (and the new $20 price tag!), as well as the January release of Wave 3 of the 6” Star Wars Black figures, I’ll have to conserve my money and postpone my purchase of the Ling Xiaoyu Tekken Bishoujo :(

But anyways, back to the topic at hand… Here are the pics of Christie and Alisa. They are probably my two favorite Bishoujo statues. They’re definitely the best looking, and the best sculpted of the ones I own. Currently, I also have Lucy the Ghostbuster, Batgirl (black and gold), Supergirl, Psylocke, and Storm (SDCC white costume). I recently sold Wonder Woman to a friend and put the cash towards buying the SDCC variant of Invisible Woman. She should hopefully be showing up sometime in the upcoming week. I will most definitely be posting pics of her in the “Look What I Just Got” thread :)

Yeah, Yuri and Sakura seem to be the two characters that fans are being the most vocal about in their hopes of getting the Bishoujo treatment. Personally, I would LOVE to get a Rainbow Mika Bishoujo, but I assume she’s probably pretty far down on Kotobukiya’s list, even though she is a perfect candidate for this line ;)

Hopefully, Koto will continue past Street Fighter and just give us Capcom fighting game characters. Felicia from Darkstalkers would make a great Bishoujo statue. Surely she’d sell well, since the Darkstalkers have such a strong cult following, and since Felicia is relatively well-known from being in Marvel Vs. Capcom 2 and 3.

Until then, I'm just really really glad that I'll be able to get this awesome Cammy statue. She has been my favorite Street Fighter character ever since I started playing SFII as a kid.

Cammy is also my favorite SF character. It's not like I'm lacking of figures of her, I already have 6 on my shelves, but I'll always find room for one more... especialy if it's a Bishoujo!! :D

I totally agree about the Soul Calibur Bishoujo! I'd love a Cassandra Bishoujo statue! As perfect as those characters would be for the this line, with their very ornate and decorative costumes, I'm not sure if Soul Calibur is a popular enough franchise to sell well enough for Koto to justify Bishoujo statues of them. Hopefully Koto will prove me wrong, lol!

Also, one of the designers at Team Ninja, the group responsible for the Dead or Alive games, recently posted a Twitter pic of an unpainted prototype statue of Kasumi, from the DoA series, on a base that looks suspiciously similar to the bases that the Ling and Jun Biishoujo statues are on. I'd love to see Dead or Alive get some Bishoujo statues. Koto has done a TON of DoA stuff in the past, so hopefully, they still have the license.

That's awesome! The SDCC Invisi is the clear one right? Yeah I just picked up the regular one.

Sue Storm
 

Actually, I think that she has even fewer translucent parts than the standard one. The SDCC variant is the one with white accents/trim on her costume instead of black. She also has much shorter hair, and the blue of the costume looks a little lighter too. She's supposed to be an homage to the John Byrne era, if I remember correctly. I'm just glad they didn't opt for giving Sue a mullet like she had at some point in the Byrne era, lol !

Ah it's this one, dang I think I would have picked it up.
Plastikitty Review: Kotobukiya's Marvel Bishoujo SDCC Sue Storm | Plastikitty

Sue Storm is, by far, one of my favorite female characters of Marvel's 616 Universe, so I hate to say this, but I'm shocked that that statue is in such high demand. Let's be honest, she isn't nearly as popular as many other high-profile Marvel women, but oddly enough, hardly any of the other Marvel Bishoujo statues, and none of the other SDCC Marvel Bishoujo statues, sell for anywhere NEAR Sue's ridiculous prices. I was lucky and happened to see that Big Bad Toy Store had lowered her price, so I ordered her immediately, since I'd never seen her going for a price that low; at least not since her initial release. Maybe I've always underestimated her popularity. Among my friends who are Marvel fans, I'm the lone F4 fanatic (thus my Toy Ark ID, lol) among a sea of X-Men and Avengers fans, with a few fans of GotG, as well as some Spidey fans, in the group as well.

They currently have her at 100 BBTS, which is the norm I think for these after a few years. I sold my Psylocke for that much although her box wasn't mint at all, but the figure was since I never took her out. The only 1 I paid ebay price for was Rogue, but glad I did, she's almost double now. Looks like you can pre order the new Spider-Woman as well, nice will be doing so at my LCS!

Shadaloo
 

After spending some time recently playing some older (i.e. 90's era, lol) Capcom games, I had an epiphany. I really hope that Koto does an SDCC variant of this statue, because I'd love to have Cammy in her Shadaloo, or "Killer Bee", costume. Although it wasn't the original, that costume was the definitive Cammy costume for YEARS. After the Shadaloo costume premiered in X-Men Vs. SF (which was a game that had a profound impact on me as a child), it was used in basically all of the "Vs." games that she appeared in. Most importantly, it was the costume Cammy wore in the two SF Alpha games she appeared in. It wasn't until SFIV that the green SFII costume was brought back to the forefront.

Because the Killer Bee was used for so long, and in so many more games, I might even argue that it is STILL the definitive costume. Either way, this statue is going to be an immediate purchase for me. If both costumes are offered, I'll probably buy them both.

On a somewhat unrelated note, I truly can't believe that it was about this same time, nineteen years ago (!!!) that I went to see that terrible Street Fighter movie in theaters! It's mind-boggling that that was so long ago! LOL, Kylie Minogue was such an awful Cammy, but she was so hot. Shame her costume wasn't a little more game-accurate :p

Can you show an image? Can't remember which one it is, and I'm betting they will down the road, they've done remakes on some of the Marvel and DC ones.
I didn't realize she was Cammy....but yeah haha that movie was eh, they should reboot it:P
