Firefly, Buffy Figures and More

Funko ReAction and Legacy Lines Include Firefly and Buffy

Joe Moore 12-19-2013 06:05 AM

Quick rundown.

3.75" Kenner Style figures:
- Buffy
- Firefly

6" Highly Articulated Legacy Figures
- Firefly

They're planning on a massive unveiling at NY Toy Fair in February.

boo to the classic kenner style which means crap for articulation. this now means a big pass to something I've wanted for a long time, buffy 3.75 figures...

They could still surprise with the ReAction line, especially of they decide to split from the previous ReAction style (used in Super 7's Alien figures). But I wouldn't be surprised if Buffy gets the 6" treatment as well.

I'm not to big on 6" figs due to price mostly. but if the sculpt looks good I might give in...

Funko is usually pretty reasonable with prices. Even their exclusives rarely retail for more than standard releases. I am really hoping that trend continues. I want to be able to buy up as many of these figures for photo shoots and reviews, but if they're too pricey, I'll have to limit what I am buying.

Maybe they'll actually do a whole set of Firefly -- something Diamond couldn't manage to accomplish!

AND better articulated! These'll be the best toys in the 'verse.

And I'll need an extra Morena Baccarin sculpt to add to my Stargate collection -- since Diamond couldn't finish that out either and make an Adria figure.

6" Firefly figures could be amazing if done right. Can you imagine Mal and Han having a shootout on your shelf? I can.

Hopefully the Legacy figures won't be too much more than $20. Love the Star Wars Black Series and I have a feeling the Legacy figures will be on par if not better since this is a smaller company.

Eagerly looking forward to what they will pull off.
