why can't anyone produce a proper 6" version of swamp thing from the cartoon.

Agreed.

But in Medicom's defense, these are meant to look like the old Japanese toys made back in the day. Which by today's standards means they might look like crap to some, but they're mashing the hell out of that big rose-colored Nostalgia button for some too.

To me, they remind me of some of the bootleg toys I'd get as gifts from dime stores or flea markets when I was a little kid (my grandparents didn't really know any better).
