I swear, if these things have more articulation than the Playmates ones...

They don't. The only arm articulation these have is in their shoulders.

trebleshot 02-10-2014 12:23 PM

Well, they are only $3 apiece. That's less than half the cost of the Playmates basic versions.

That said, I might have to see if I can pick up a set. Two inches tall makes them ideal for my work desk.

Grippen 02-10-2014 04:49 PM

These will be cool to replace my 2007 ones. I have those mini figures along with my Sigma 6 toys (wish I had some 4'' ones to go with the regular joes) so these are welcome.

Pity we have to wait a few months still. Can we pre-order them already?

salsa4datass 02-10-2014 08:50 PM

where can I order a set?...

Shawpaw 02-10-2014 09:08 PM

Definitely need a few sets of these.

THIS.

I don't typically like miniature figures like these, but they're pretty friggin nifty.

ukmu 02-11-2014 04:39 AM

Wow.... SOLD!! At £1.50 here in UK, I could buy three for less than a latte at Starbucks. Get in there, I will take another set for my dashboard in the car even!

Grippen 02-11-2014 05:16 AM

Been trying to find a place to pre-order these but nothing. I have no idea how they found the photos on Hobbysearch because I can't find anything there not even a news topic

Joe Moore 02-11-2014 05:33 AM

HobbyLink Japan has a case of the figures up for pre-order.

Ninja Turtles Action Figure: 1 Box 10pcs by Takra Tomy A.R.T.S | HobbyLink Japan

$15.63 for the case of 10 pieces.

Shawpaw 02-11-2014 04:06 PM

What does it mean by "10 pieces?"

Has anyone bought from this website before? Will amazon get these as well?

Grippen 02-11-2014 05:00 PM

Yes I bought from there before. Wasn't so much impressed in the second time. Item had a fault. They accepted the item back and even payed for shipping however they didn't issue a refund via paypal instead they sent money via paypal. But because they only do transactions in Yens I ended up receiving less $10 or more because the exchange rate had changed in between. So I wasn't very happy.

Anyway I placed a pre-order because you don't have to pay anything. If I see these earlier somewhere else I will just cancel it probably.

They're great for TF MP figures, but the site is hard to search for things IMO. I have to save the MPTF link or I wouldn't be able to find it. Although I technically haven't bought from them yet, and won't know till August when MP Wheeljack comes out.

I've been buying from HLJ since 2000. Never had any problems. They're one of, if not THE most trusted and reliable Japanese online toy & hobby store.

This intrigues me, 2" tall puts them close in the 1/18th scale range (if you wanted original comic scale) and at $3 a piece? That's a pretty sweet price!

Grippen 02-12-2014 07:11 AM

2'' close to 1:18 scale?? I doubt that. 3'' yes they would be close to 1:18 scale. These can interact only with Sigma joes or any other figures from 2.5'' to 3''. Unfortunately they are not suitable to pose with 4'' figures. Too small in my opinion

Which rules me out. Had they had elbows I might bite. I was pretty excited when I saw them until I saw the articulation.

It's closer then anything else I've seen. I can work with that.

Grippen 02-12-2014 11:48 AM

Maybe one day someone will create 2 liquids for us to trow inside toys and downsize or upsize our figures LOL
