Shredder and Splinter look better than I expected

Leave it to LEGO to ensure that you need to buy multiple EXPENSIVE sets to get all four turtles

I was initially surprised to see them only doing three sets for the movie, but the more I think about it, the less I am. I doubt Lego is all that confident about the new movie. That said, it would have been nice to see a fourth set. Something cheap and sort of entry level.

As-is only one set is tempting for me, and that's the van one. I like the design of the van, and the set looks like it could be some fun. I also like that it comes with a Vernon minifigure. That said, I'll probably just get the Playmates version of the van and call it a day.

It shouldn't at all be surprising. Besides, you only need to get two of the sets to have a complete set of Turtles. It could be worse, they could have made you buy four sets just for them.

Does anyone know when These Teenage Mutant Ninja TUrtle toys will be available?: Turtle Bits: 4th Season Planned for Show, Another Look at TMNT Movie Toys

Leave it to ego to make the Lego versions of the movie characters look more like the Ninja Turtles than the movie they are basing their toys off of.

I'm a little out of the loop, so is the Nickelodeon line of TMNT done in favor of the movie line or will they run concurrent to each other?

Concurrently as far as I can tell as there's a bunch of new Nick TMNT LEGO coming.
