play arts are 10 inches right?

im curious since im dying for some metal gear and cowboy bebop figures, however i only collect 6-7 inches figures, as a self control way of not hurting my pocket, dont know if the kai suffix means bigger or something else, and if the regular play arts are smaller

thanks by the way

Most Play Arts Kai (PAK) figures tend to run within the 8-10 inch range. If you're trying to not hurt your pocket, you might want to look for MSG elsewhere though, depending on the characters you are looking for, many of the older figs are retired and drive insane prices on the secondary market, ESPECIALLY if you are looking for Solid Snake or Gray Fox (Ninja)

If you don't mind sacrificing a bit of articulation for price point, McFarlane Toys came out with two very solid lines of MGS figures representing most of the major characters from the first two games in that series, MGS and MGS: Sons of Liberty. Nearly every figure in the series was beautiful (My faves being MGS2 Snake, Gray Fox and Vulcan Raven.) and can be found on Ebay at prices that won't break the bank.

Another alternative, but a bit pricier and more in tune with the scale of figures you collect, would be the Revoltech and RevolMini MGS figures. Unfortunately, they don't have a large range of characters, and the standard Revoltech figure is not Solid Snake, but the Peace Walker version of Naked Snake (Big Boss). If that doesn't bother you, it's a hell of a lot cheaper investment than the PAK figures. The RevolMini figs that are coming soon look fantastic, with Solid Snake and Gray Fox being the first two figures out the gate, but those will be in 3.75" scale, right in line with G.I.Joes and Marvel Universe as opposed to the 6 inch lines you collect.

Sorry if I rambled on a bit...I hope some of this helps.

Honestly, I don't think Square's figures are worth it at all. I got their Kratos, which was $85, his left wrist is broken, he is missing the knee guard to his right boot, but Square never answered any of my requests for replacement parts or just an exchange and I still have him on my shelf in defective status (at least the wrist stays together when I have a hand attached, but I can never swap out his hands) unsure of what to do with him. He is utter garbage and I will never trust another figure product from this company again.

yea you cant trust SEnix. we all know figures break or get ruined over time, but to have the figure just break/fall apart from little use or movement from posing is complete garbage.

ive had
drake break luckily his leg is a ball joint and just plops back in
guile broke his shoulder
tali broke her ratchet leg, and once those break its over..

SEnix only cares to put quality in their metal gear solid line and batman line.
