omg taylor!!!!! and ripley!!! wait ... so taylor is in a retro style??? then my excitement went down by a lot of points.

CaptainXray 07-24-2014 02:57 PM

I was psyched to see a Taylor figure...til I saw it was a Mego style. Will Neca be doing a regular figure of him down the road?

I really hope so. They have the likeness rights now, so it's certainly possible.

En Sabah Nerd 07-24-2014 03:05 PM

Otachi!!!

merqabah 07-24-2014 03:12 PM

i was half expecting to have them use the taylor and ripley figures in the way they exploited the dutch ones of predator, tons of variants.

VashTS 07-24-2014 03:18 PM

Want those diorama's

En Sabah Nerd 07-24-2014 04:37 PM

Can we please see some pictures of the Bioshock Infinite Booker Dewitt figure? We can see a snippet in the corner of one of the apes pictures, but more would be appreciated.

Dr Kain 07-24-2014 05:08 PM

Wait, I thought Series 3 of ALiens was out this month?

And oh my god that Godzilla 84 is just ugly as ****. Who the hell thought that that even looked like the movie?

En Sabah Nerd 07-24-2014 07:29 PM

I'm really intrigued by the gorilla ("Luca" I've read) from DotPotA, because it's a highly detailed gorilla (which on its own is cool), but also could be used as King Kong (unless I'm mistaken and that's not possibly the same type of gorilla, I'm not an expert on the matter so I wouldn't know). Love the detail and swap-off heads though.

Badmoonrising4 07-24-2014 09:57 PM

I love those Ripley figures and jonesy.

I'm completely baffled by that penguin figure though. I mean, it looks great, but why that particular costume? And what's all this 1/4 scale? I'm pretty sure they mean Life Size Danny Devito Penguin.

It may be that they'll reveal it again later, but the blade fighter is also not seen here yet. Possibly they consider what was seen at ToyFair good enough and didn't have time to bring those out.

It was in a picture someone took when NECA was setting up. Same with the Aliens version of Ripley.

Yeah, I'm more than a bit disappointed by the 84goji since I like the suit itself. Guess I'll just go for MogeGoji/DesuGoji unless they reveal an original movie version soon. Then I'd get both!

Dr Kain 07-25-2014 08:39 PM

Strange, NECA said they were going to reveal 3 more Godzillas, but they never did.

I only heard them say they had three more in development, but the con doesn't end until the 27th so they could reveal one or more within that time frame. They could also show them online just after the convention like how Scunner was revealed just after Toy fair back in February.

VashTS 07-25-2014 09:17 PM

I hold out hope they will make big gozilla figures....the 24 inch long ones.

I have no interest in the 12 inchers since they are not in scale with my MonsterArts.

ShabbyBlue 07-26-2014 04:02 PM

that 8" Mego style POTA Taylor really pisses me off. We better get a 6" version in the regular POTA toy line before NECA calls it quits on this line. You realize they are releasing 2 different costumed versions of Dr. Zaius in each wave? Wave 2 should have been Taylor, General Ursus, and Zira. Not another variant of Dr. Zaius. :(

I agree with what someone else said above about how they should be giving him the Predator Dutch treatment and doing 2-3 versions of him. I guess we'll be lucky to even get one in this line. :(

Sorrow Bringer 07-27-2014 09:13 AM

The Alien Queen hands looks very fragile. I wish they made Snake P regular version first before going retro.

Yes going retro just made him look out of place.

Agreed. A highly detailed, well articulated Snake figure is LONG overdue.

the mcfarlane snake, with the removable coat is one of my favourite figures, and i have neca, macfarlane, figuarts, revoltech, DCC, mezco, toybiz, hasbro, figma etc, and i still rate it among my top 5 favouritesm so a highly detailed and articulated snake could become my favourite figure in my collection, period.

But that was that awful Escape from LA Snake. We want the REAL Snake Plisken.
