I believe there was a comic storyline recently that involved Batman travelling through time and dressing to suit each era. If sales for those comics were encouraging, maybe this is intended to appeal to the same audience. I'm with you: it leaves me cold. Yuck.

One word - gun.

Batman don't like guns.

Play Arts is VERY hit or miss. All the DC stuff for me, big miss. Conner and Edward Kenway, great success.

I think its an interesting take on Batman. And as someone has already said there was a Batman story when he became a cowboy for a bit, which I think was gloriously dumb, in the very best of ways. He even had a cowboy outift in the justice league unlimited show.

To be honest when people complain about Batman having guns, you have to consider the context. This isn't a comic its a figure, and you should get figures based on how cool they look, and because they are a novelty.So I don't get the gun complaint, plus I think its a grappling hook.

Obviously you can just dislike the design itself though that's fair enough. I really like the design. I already have 2 Play arts Batmen, and I reckon I can have one more, so its a toss up between Spartan Batman, Cowboy Batman and the Kingdom hearts guys Batman.

please no jonah hex figure, i mean from dc there is alot more characters way cooler then him, and that movie what a waste of time. tho loving these timeless batmen would be cool to do a side kick for each verison , like a batman and robin thing but the verison of robin would be closer to how they different like I.E the wild west have a redhood verison for the sidekick and the spartan have a nightwing sk, and the steampunk a redrobin , and ofc the samurai damian robin.

if i remember correctly the story behide this line is that in universe there has always been a batman ofc our era is the bruce wayne and it is bruce that doesnt like guns, i think they are making batman a symbol not bruce wayne, so pull your head out of the sand, i mean didnt thomas wayne use guns? and he was batman, same when jason todd was batman. and besides a gun is a good way to create fear which is a weapon batman uses doesnt mean he is going to use you, have you seen kick-ass 2? for example.

You do realize that's meant to be his grapnel gun right ?
