Hot Toys Robocop and Alex Murphy
|
Can I use the helmet from the previous version with this battle damaged?

Wow. Just... Wow.

So if Peter Weller is finally authorizing the use of his likeness for Hot Toys' 1/6 scale Robocop figures, does this mean NECA can finally give us a 6" helmetless Robocop too? I'd also like to see NECA produce a pre-injury Alex Murphy 6" figure like the Hot Toys version.

I too prefer 6-7" figures over the foot-longs and oversized dolls getting pushed out lately. On one hand, there is the issue of quality miniaturization to consider: it's harder to produce a good likeness and intricate detail on the smaller scale, but more importantly, the decision of scale probably boils down to economics. If a bigger figure can be produced for less money and sell for a higher price, then that's what the industry will produce. Some collectors must be buying the things in quantity. I imagine a lot of closets filled with them. :D
