I love to study the surface details. Tinkering with one of these, in many respects, you're probably as familiar with the design as the original designers.

True!
After a while, you start understanding what would and wouldn't work, and why things are the way they are.
I was going to do some battle damage, but the snowspeeder is such an elegant design, I wanted to keep it to normal wear and tear.
