Brawl's Collection. Totally mixed up.

Hi there!
I've been a member since 2008 here on toyark, but never came around to post much. Now I thought I just share my collection with you guys. It's not big and concentrates more or less on two main themes (Arkham and Alien), but with the years several other figures from different lines came together.
Actually I'm really proud of it. It's something I can totally immerse myself into, play around or just looking at the whole thing. :)

There are some figures that I'm really proud of.
First, the whole Lost Hunters from Necas Predator 2 line. I got all of them within three weeks, which was afterwards a pretty dumb decision, but worth it.
Then there are my Aliens. I love the design of Big Chap and the Queen ( I can't wait to get my Neca Alien Queen!), but I can't stand the Warrior Aliens (yet you can see hte SH Monsterarts Alien Warrior on one shelf).
And last but not least we have the 1/6 ArtFigures Dredd.
I think it's sad, that there aren't any real Judge Dredd figures out there, so when I first read about the 1/6 Dredd figure, I preordered it and got it two weeks ago. I won't buy any more 1/6 figures, because I think they're just too pricey for what you get. They do look fantastic, but still too expensive for me. But I had to get Dredd nontheless. ;)

The only figures I have still boxed are the N2 Toys Mad Max figures. I bought the whole wave of released figures one or two years ago, after I watched the movie for the first time. These were the only official figures that were released, so I had to get them. Maybe I'll add the Autoart Interceptor to my collection in some months :)

The biggest part of my collection, and the oldest, is the Arkham collection. I started just with Hush and Batman, but after that more and more figures came to them and now I don't even know where to put them all :D

Like your nice, clean shelf display and organization by theme. Reminds me of how badly I need to do some spring-cleaning. :D

I didn't find out about the Max figure series until too late, and now the secondary market price is out of range. Nice catch, especially for getting the full set AND resisting the temptation to rip apart the packaging.

We'll see new figures with another movie coming out, but Mel Gibson is the only Max for me. I'm still amazed that they green-lighted the project without Gibson taking part. Guess they must have found a particularly interesting story to compensate for his absence...?

Anyway, thanks for sharing.

Thank you! :)
Yeah, I should really clean those shelfes, too! Haha, but I'm lazy...

The Mad Max figures do look good, but they have like almost no articulation. So I leave them boxed. I hope we see some new figures with the new movie coming out, and I think some of the many 1/6 scale companies will make one or two figures, too. Those figures are so popular right now, it would be a miracle not to see some 1/6 figures of Hardy, Theron and Keays-Byrne. By the way, I really like Hardy as the new Max! :D

Fair point. Hardy has big shoes to fill, but he's a good actor. This movie could reinvigorate the franchise. There is no such thing as 'enough' when it comes to movies about dystopian futures. :D

Exactly. Have you seen "Locke" or "Bronson"? Extremely strong performances of Hardy. Both movies are worth a look.

Haha, yes! But in the last years, more and more post apocalyptic, dystopian movies were released. The Rover and Young Ones (with Nicholas Hoult, too) have both some really good ideas and convincing future settings.

I had to rearrange the Arkham figures, because there wasn't anymore space on the shelfes. So I switched them with the Predator figures:

I really love that group! But I took the photo in such a stupid angle, that the three Batman figures are standing just infront of each other... you can barely see the weird "ears" from the Wonderland-Batman behind the Origins figure.

Skoob 01-16-2015 08:01 PM

Nice. I can not believe the prices some of these figures command in the secondary market. My personal favourites are Copperhead, Deathstroke and Batman himself.

I like your ash figure .. very cool
