I was debating on whether to get the "NX" version or the previous "NCC" one. The fact this one has the breakdown moment sfx has sold me on this version.

It's hard to see in the dim light, but this is my observation regarding overall hull color:

Capt. Stiles Version: Light Creamy Grey
Capt. Sulu Version: White

The new Capt. Stiles version is definitive for me. :D

If the earlier, white one is the Excelsior under Sulu's command, I think I'll have to track down that version.
Seeing Star Trek VI in theaters, as a child, was perhaps the experience that firmly established my interest in the original Star Trek.

To be honest, I had entirely forgotten that the Excelsior was in The Search for Spock, until a few years ago when I finally bought it on DVD and watched it for the first time in quite a while.

That's the one! Nice and white, like it just came out of the wash. I see it's clearance-priced at BBTS.

I got a real kick out of James Sikking as Capt. Stiles and would have liked to see more of him. What a character!

I wish the color scheme for the blue parts of the nacelles looked more like Capt. Sulu's ship, but there must be some reason why they keep going for that teal hue. Maybe someone with greater Trek knowledge can explain. Rgds
