I normally do not say much about Marvel Comics but last week Marvel did something bold. To begin Marvel did a series last year called Spider Verse in which all Spider "Men" met in an ultimate fight. When I quote men the fight included several Spider Women and Spider Ham (Spider Pig does what a Spider Pig does). Among the Spider Women was Earth 65's. What makes it amazing is that she is Gwen Stacy who has the powers of Spider-Man. This causes Earth 616 Spider-Man to simply stop and try to avoid her fighting but when she finds out why she tells Peter that they can watch each others backs. Eventually she goes back to her Reality and End of Story. Not Quite. Last week Marvel released Spider Gwen #1 and Wow sales out did Batman. Marvel found a Winner

Spider-Gwen will be what Harley Quinn is to DC. their hot new female character....

I ended up buying 2 copies of the regular Spider-gwen #1 and 2 of the Phantom variants !!! CGC here i come.

now if only they'd release a Spider-gwen figure.

I am going to say this the art is a bit Iffy but the Story is good Characters that appear..

Police Officer Ben Grimm - They never give his first name but all evidence points to Him being Ben Grimm. They mention Yancy Street

Police Captain Frank Castle - He seems to be a No non sense cop and doesn't really follow the 5th Amendment

Police Captain George Stacy - Same as Common Universe Captain Stacy except he knows who Gwen Really is.

Matt Murdoc - Works for the King Pin sending out the Hit Men

Mary Jane Watson - Band Leader of "The Mary Jane's" she seems a bit stuck up and High on herself

Randy Robertson (Robby's Counter Part) - A Rock and Roll reporter

James J. Jameson - I think he's the Mayor of NY

Adrian Tooms - No different then he is in Common Universe Vulture

Peter Parker - (Appear in a Flashback) Tries to be like Gwen, by becoming the Lizard, but Dies in the process

I am with you on the Figure and the Harley Quinn statement, I like the Character I signed up for a Subscription. I expect Spider Gwen to get a Figure fast (Maybe a SDCC Exclusive or release in the Fall or next Spring, by both Marvel Legends and Marvel Select). Marvel does believe in the character that they will not be Mashing her during the Future World Mash

My girl is Awesome. She beat the crap out of Venom alone. Drops a tree on him. Then smashes him with a Parking Meter. Finally does a guitar solo to separate Eddie from Venom
