Predator Series 13 Photo Shoots
|
Think I'll be picking this fellow up. I've still got the Kenner figure (minus his staff and gun unfortunately).

Cracked Tusk wins the wave for me, but Renegade is freaking amazing too. I still kind of wish the nets on them were either painted or just removed from the sculpt but that is a very minor (and only) gripe. I will say it was difficult getting Renegade to hold the upper part of his staff in his right hand, I had to pop it off and place it then pop it back on.
I don't even have Scavage but I'll go ahead and recommend him too, he's a repaint of Nightstorm and that guy is one of my all-time favorite predator toys. |

Just finished up post processing the Cracked Tusk pics. Another fun one. Renegade is still sitting at my favorite so far. Gallery to go live tomorrow.

Crap. Both of these look really, really good. I had the old-school Renegade Predator back in the day (mostly because he looked the closest to the one in the first movie) and this is a great homage.
I was originally content to just have the Predator 1 & 2 and the Battle Armor Borg (still the best ever) Predator figures in my collection, but I might have to make an exception for these mofos. Wow. Man, NECA is getting insane mileage out of essentially releasing figures with the same base body over and over...and what's more surprising is that we don't care because they're all awesome nonetheless! The Predator line must be NECA's licence to print money, lol. |
I didn't try to make him hold the smart disk like that, I was just like "oh he doesn't have the hand specifically made for holding this so I guess he really can't." I am still a tad "huh" about the fact that he also has one molded into his belt thing, so in a way he has two smart disks but you can only use one.

Lovely gallery as always Joe.
I admit that Scavage has more impressive skin paint than Nightstorm, Nightstorm was pretty much just a grey-blue and a dark-blue/black scheme. Scavage has these vibrant greens, blues, and reds. When it comes down to it though, Nightstorm is my winner between the two. The dark skin tones and the faded gold armor just pop for me. |
i love the Scavage figure, unforunately the damn just CAN NOT stand on his own for more then an hour max..... this upcoming weekend i'm going to figure out what else i can do to have him stand. the actual Neca stands don't even work for this guy.
