I wish they would give us Boo, Beers, kid Goku, Desert Bandit Yamucha, Tenshinhan, Tao Pai Pai, Bulma, and Roshi first.

Robogeek28 04-18-2015 02:44 PM

They really need to pump these things out faster, there's just wayyyyy too many other characters that need to be made.

KingJomby 04-18-2015 04:35 PM

where's Bardock?

we need Bardock as well, come on bandai keep the movie characters coming to.

Tiberius 04-18-2015 05:04 PM

Still need over half the people from the Saiyan Saga.

Tony_Bacala 04-18-2015 05:36 PM

I'm down. They could pump out one a month for the next couple years to fill in the ranks, I don't think many could afford that though. The Buu stuff seen, this, SDCC, more TBA - should be a busier year than prior years for SHF DBZ, which is good. I wouldn't mind some Xenoverse stuff either, that game was awesome. Make it and I'll buy it Bandai, just hurry up!

Bandai is trying to capitalize on the movie, from what they've said in the past, Dragon Ball Z Figuarts have demand here moreso than Japan. So with this movie coming stateside, it makes sense for them to make Goku & Frieza, especially since it's Goku & Frieza.

If Dragon Ball Z maintained the momentum it had in the 90's, then the characters you mentioned probably would've had figures by now. As it stands, Dragon Ball Z isn't as big as it used to be.

DarthNexus 04-19-2015 12:50 AM

so is that Frieza just a repaint?

Tiberius 04-19-2015 04:06 AM

I think it has a new head sculpt. Not sure on accessories.

Yeah, both look to use the original figures as a starting point with slight remolds, new heads / parts.

Yes, but they said they were going to capitalize on the Boo saga of Kai airing in Japan six months ago and showed off figures from it.

And DBZ is still as popular today as it was in the early 2000s. It is still Funimation's top selling series.

Tiberius 04-19-2015 08:52 AM

I just don't want figures to be pushed back, and back some more due to movies.

Where is Nappa, for the love of god.

Nappa was a concept, held off due to size and price. They decided to test the larger format figures with Broly since he was more popular. That went extremely well, and the line continues to grow especially in the States, so I think we have a better shot now than when he was shown of getting made.

And really, I just want him because of Team Four Star. What I REALLY want is Ghost Nappa. :)

Tiberius 04-19-2015 11:28 AM

Well I just find it strange that they would release First App Vegeta and not Nappa. ANYONE that got that Vegeta got it for Nappa, and vice versa.

Well, the front end of the line was loaded with fan favorites, core characters. They didn't take any risks. They've done 3 different Gokus, 2 Vegetas already. Plus SDCC variants and reissues of those. Broly, and this future wave of Buu and GT stuff is their venture into "not sure" territory IMO. If these move, I think we'll get Nappa.

I also want that Shenron, another concept that looked ready to go but is just basically a really nice custom sitting in an office somewhere.

Actually, I got that Vegeta because I missed the SS one.

DarthNexus 04-19-2015 03:48 PM

I definitely wouldn't mind another Vegeta.... Have you seen his recent Prices? :DBZ3

1987olds442 04-20-2015 11:56 AM

I hope that they make a new Vegeta from this movie as well.

I would say the popularity is still there for DBZ in Japan. The movie opened this past weekend in Japan and it's already made 8.2 million which is higher than 6 million that Furious 7 made which opened the same weekend there.

Hey Spanky 04-22-2015 12:18 AM

These were up for sale on Bandai the Japanese store the other day. I tried to buy them but they dont ship tp the US apparently.

Maybe one every other month. I don't see why Gohan should cost much considering it's basically only a new head sculpt. They've also got 2 nearly identical buus coming out. Lets hope they work out decent prices

Tiberius 04-22-2015 06:57 AM

Here is some Ultimate Gohan love.
