That vest screams neca has drake on the horizon. Ill have to watch again but it looks more like drakes smart gunner vest than matrixs combat vest.

Totally different vest (Drake's is more padded and "future" looking) and they don't have Mark Rolston's likeness rights.

Day one on this figure. I love Commando and this figure looks amazing.

You'd better watch those movies again, bub. That vest looks precisely like Matrix's combat vest. It doesn't even remotely look like Drake's.

Neither did hot toys yet that head sculpt was dead balls rolston. Just paint his hair redish and put a stache on him...or use his kenner scupt. ;)

The hot toys one looks hardly anything like Mark Rolston, it looks more like Matthew McConaughey's secret cousin.

Not to mention Randy from NECA has expressed zero interest in doing a figure if they can't do it right. If they don't have the likeness then they don't want to do it. They always strive for screen accuracy.

The vest, the pants, the accessories look super porny. Everything but the head really, which looks passable but not really dead on.

Unless it's Godzilla, then there's a point where the NECA team apparently says "good enough." I love their classic Godzilla figures (especially as a way cheaper alternative to SH) but only the 2014 Godzilla figures seem truly screen accurate. 94 has wrong scales on his body (I can't blame the eyes for being wrong, too much paint in too little space) and 84 has dorsal plate size issues mainly regarding the couple in the middle not being big enough. It's minor and I totally forgive it but I still have to acknowledge it when discussing "perfect screen accuracy."

Have you actually SEEN commando? Its super cheesy so the porny works. Haha

If there is not an urbandictionary definition for "porny" I'll smack everybody's mom in this thread, including my own. On mother's day..

They should definitely make a 12" retro limited articulation version with a pull string that talks, phrases including "You're a funny guy Sully..." and the aforementioned "let off some steam, Bennett."

I'm under the assumption that this John Matrix figure will utilize the same head sculpt as the 2013 Jungle Encounter Dutch (shirtless). For the most part, the legs and body should also be the same, although the pants will be colored green as they were in Commando.

NECA really need to make an ammo belt for that M60E3, Matrix and Rambo are walking around with no bullet for their machine gun!

I use the ammo belt from GIJoe figures for my Rambo and it actually fits very well on that M60E3, since the GIJoe ammo belts are oversized.

DAMN. This figure can't come out soon enough. It'll go nicely with my Joe-scale custom that I made. :)

Oh, man. Is there a release date for this? It's soon, right?

I just picked up Commando on blu ray (limited edition steelbook with tons of extras) to get myself ready for this awesome figure...I'm a big Arnold fan if you couldn't tell. :)

I believe it's late this month. Can't wait to grab it.

I wish they'd make his entire team from Predator.

I could certainly go for Jesse Ventura as Blaine!
