BaF question

Maybe one of you guys can tell me why BaF's seem at times smaller then the Individula figures?

donmeca2020 05-18-2015 03:02 PM

from my knowledge i believe those were only certain figures that were similar or smaller sized BAF figures... maybe one of the senior legends collectors can chime in

They're made in scale to the character. So the Hulkbuster will be huge but that BaF rocket racoon was obviously small (and only 3 parts).

the current hobgoblin BAF is similar size to all the spider-man figures in that line. i believe the Goblin king was bigger the average legend size.

If by "goblin king" you mean the most recent Green Goblin with flames, that guy was (IIRC) made up of parts from the Walmart Legends Hulk from Avengers, so that will give you an idea of his size.

The only small BAF I can remember is Rocket Racoon, Puck and Jubilee. The new Hobgoblin BAF is considered medium compared to other BAF, All Father Odin is taller than most Legend size figs and all Toybiz BAFs are large to huge.

Don't forget Hit Monkey :-P
I feel Jubilee is the same size as the Ultimate Spider Woman and Mayday Parker Spider Girl, so I consider her in the standard medium size but the Young Female bodies are smaller than say Black Cat, so maybe some in-between size for them.

And the Toy Biz Sentinel is my all time best BAF figure and IMO the Biggest. Followed closely buy the Galactus and Apocalypse in size with a good fight for the crown from the Toy Biz Fin Fang Foom.

i have no idea considering all i have is his leg.... but i do know previous BAF figures were pretty big. look at the guy who posted above me. sentinel, giant man, fing fang foom, galactus.

i know with the upcoming new waves such as the Hulkbuster wave, and the next spider-man wave they'll have rhino. i recall for sure hearing that the hulkbuster will be at least 8 inches tall or so... not so sure about the new rhino.

Well all those really big BAF were from back in the ToyBiz days. Hulkbuster may take the biggest spot from Hasbro away from BLOB

well Groot has been the tallest so far
then ultron from avengers movie
then hulkbuster

i think hasbro are doing pretty good , by having bigger figures etc
If were lucky we might get a sentinel ... but I'm not going to be holding my breath

I was just curious since the Spiderman set included Anti-Venom who is Substancially Bigger then Hobgoblin, Hulk appears Bigger then Thanos, Even Allfather is only Slightly Bigger then Thor.

It seems that lately they want to use a character that a lot of people will really want so that it entices people to buy the entire wave. I don't think it has much to do with the size of the BAF figure, it has to do with that characters' desirability.

They want you to want hulkbuster enough or ultron enough to make you buy one or two figures from that wave that you normally wouldn't buy, or don't have any interest in. Same theory applies to the medium or smaller BAF's.
