The same battery after 15 years...Wtg Spawn!

I can't believe this thing still works.. Have any of you had to change the battery in this if so what kind is it?
I've had this figure in storage for the last 10 years and when I opened it up today the first thing I did was check to see if his arm would still turn the light in his eyes on. Check it out!

Thats awesome but you should , if havent done so, check for corrosion.

Trust me I did ha. I'm a bit of a clean freak. I also cleaned up everything just keep it nice. I'm in a pretty dry climate, but I put a silica packet in it before I put it in storage over 10 years ago.

Looks like a boxed Spawn Series 7 Version III. I will have to check mine, too. One of the best versions of spawn IMHO!

Agreed!I know there are better detailed Spawn figures but this one will always be my favorite.

My brother just opened one of these last week and the battery still works. He's a bit fragile, but an amazing figure.

Fragile is pretty much the key word for Spawn figures. The first few waves were actually pretty playable but as the focus to detail came in stuff just started breaking left and right if you didn't practice extreme care. It just seemed to be the trend that the better the toy looked the more fragile it was. They are still some truly impressive plastic statues. To this day the companies that have stepped to replace McFarlane such as NECA and Funko still have some fragility issues, though in my experience it has gotten much better in these past few years. I just can't fathom how parents still buy these toys that are clearly marked ages 17+ (sometimes 18+) for their kids and complain that the kid broke them easily, it isn't Hasbro people.
