misprint Todd McFarlane nfl figure
 

Hello everybody, this is my first post, so I apologize if this is in the wrong section or anything else is out of line. Anyway, a few years back my dad was big in to collecting nfl figures and those mini helmets. One day he comes home with this Eli Manning figure that has a Tony Romo head. Has anyone seen anything thing like this before? I don't see how they could mess up only only one of them. He purchased it at a Wal-Mart back when this was the current wave of McFarlane nfl figures. If anyone has any idea of what something like this would be worth it would be very much appreciated. I can add more pictures if needed. Thanks in advance guys.

Well that figure is a variant to the original jersey ... its hard to say what it would be worth, some people pay good money for mistakes like this ...best bet is to throw it on ebay and just put a reserve or buy it now and see what comes from that

I'd thought about that. I was just curious if anyone had seen one with this particular error before. I really wish they'd packaged these differently. Instead of the plastic being glued to the backer card it's got a bit of extra plastic that's wraps around the back and is stapled through the back. All the other figured he had are sealed the same way though. Do you think it would be worth it to send it in to be graded?

I don't think ive seen one with a mismatched helmet...I have a few with missing tattoos and such. Its too bad they took down the messenger board on the spawn site that would really help ya out. Ive never had anything graded so not sure I can help ya with that part of it unfortunetly

Yeah, that would have been helpful if that was still up. But this isn't just a mismatched helmet, that's Tony Romo's head on Eli Manning's body
