Bluefin Details For NYCC 2015

Bluefin Exclusives Revealed for New York Comic-Con 2015

Dr Kain 09-29-2015 08:02 AM

So they are pretty much selling everything Amazon has canceled preorders on us. -_-

KaonKoopa 09-29-2015 12:33 PM

With the way the Dragon Ball Z line is being handled, whats the point of even TRYING to collect them? These figures are already hard enough to track down, especially if you don't have the money right away. Put on top of that the fact that they're taking characters/versions of characters that should be mainline, and locking them behind con-exclusivity, and I'm just DONE!

The animation error Vegeta is the only thing they've done that makes sense as a con-exclusive, it's special, and strange. However locking Anime versions of Piccolo, and Gohan, as well as Golden Frieza, and SSJGSS Goku behind con-exclusivity is some bullshit! Is it wrong wanting to be able to BUY highly articulated action figures of characters that I grew up watching the cartoon of, without thinking my only option of ever getting them is from some $200+ eBay hack?

Augustus_Cole 09-29-2015 01:33 PM

wait...sooo...The Goku and Frieza are ONLY exclusives now???
BBTS didn't cancel my preorder for them..

I'm going to NYCC so I guess I'll grab them, to be safe (if they are still available for purchase)

"These items are available for early pre-sale and will be sold through ticketed sales only."

Slow down. Goku and Frieza are not con exclusives. They are just being sold early at NYCC. As for your other complaint just be happy the con exclusives are repaints and not brand new figures and character.

What did Amazon cancel on people? I had been looking at the emergence 1964 Godzilla, but didn't preorder it, then I notice it's not available anymore.

I'm going to NYCC, so I might pick some of these up. They're all just Tamashii Web Exclusives in Japan right? Are any actually exclusive to this event?

Zend 09-29-2015 07:04 PM

So let me get this straight...

Bluefin will limit a non exclusive item that's just being sold early to one per person per day for a smaller con like NYCC.... But for SDCC they didn't limit the actually exclusive DBZ figure and let people buy 20 or more of them each time they went through the line, and because of that, those of us that were relying on them putting in on their Premium site like they did the last two SDCC exclusives got shafted.

Fuck you Bluefin. Fuck. You.

People are saying that they are limiting the NYCC stuff because of how out of control the SDCC stuff got.

What does that early pre-sale and ticketed sales only thing mean? I can't just walk up to the booth and buy them?

Ok, so that mentions how to get the tickets. I'm not trying to be a jerk, just trying to understand. Lets say I get a ticket, can I just buy the thing at one of their booths then that day? The main reason I'm wondering is that the only thing I want is that 1964 Godzilla Emergence Ver., and only really because Nakajima is going to be at NYCC signing stuff.

I got him to sign the regular 1964 version at Monstercon; all 3 Godzilla actors are going to be at NYCC and I can't miss up the chance to see them again.

Wish I could answer definitively. You'll need to get the ticket and then come back on the specified date to make a purchase. Should be able to just buy the one thing you want. Everything I know is in that post, copied directly from Bluefin. Any specifics you'd likely need to direct to them via their social media outlets.

Ok cool, thanks for the help. You going to NYCC?

Augustus_Cole 10-07-2015 10:50 AM

just curious about how exclusives work..
did Hasbro show any of those SDCC exclusives BEFORE the show..because i haven't heard anything about any exclusives for Marvel Infinte, Marvel legends, for NYCC..

I think Old Man Logan was the last Hasbro NYCC exclusive, and I assume that didn't sell too well, which is why they sold the rest of them at the following SDCC with no restrictions on purchase. I heard some people bought entire sealed boxes/cases of Logan.

My favorite NYCC MU exclusive has to be Compound Hulk, but to answer your other questions, Hasbro typically reveals thier exclusive a couple weeks to a month before the con.

I am not. I personally don't do the cons. Not my thing.
