Figma Virtua Fighter

First Look at Figma Virtua Fighter Figures

That's just weird.

Hate to be that guy, but these were actually revealed at Wonderfest back in July. https://www.reddit.com/r/ActionFigur...rototypes_are/

Sorry Joe :(

Trivial Psychic 11-05-2015 03:04 PM

Bout damn time we got some more Virtua Fighter love. Yu Suzuki's franchise is definitely one of the best, and most under appreciated out there. A little surprised they would go with original polygon look, but it is a creative take, I'll admit. If they jumped in and put out some figs with their looks from 5R, I'd definitely be in, and probably for the long haul as I used to play about half the cast from that game...lol.

Sorry Joe :(

I've been waiting for at least some more info on these since that reveal. I like that it seams Akira will come with 2 heads/faces. I can't wait for these guys to come out. Awesome idea to go with the VF1 polygonal look.

Sorry Joe :(

Judging how this is spreading, I don't think many people noticed back then. Hehe.

timone317 11-05-2015 09:42 PM

I don't know if I'll ever buy these but I like them a lot. It's great how they are 100% accurate to the source material.

Trivial Psychic 11-05-2015 11:18 PM

I know that there will probably never be more than these two, but I sure do hope we get a Wolf Hawkfield, Jeffery McWild and Jacky Bryant at some point. I've always loved playing grapplers in VF, and Jacky has been a fave of mine since the beginning...

Nightrain 11-06-2015 12:14 AM

I'd buy a full line. Gimme some Shun Di please. With swappable drunk head.

Joe Moore 11-06-2015 06:00 AM

I was always more of a Tekken guy myself. My local arcade always had the Tekken machine and no Virtua Fighter. If they did Tekken 1/2 in this style, I'd be hard pressed to resist.

Those three are musts for me as well. Pai and Lau I could do without. I'd like Kage too I guess, but I would buy pretty much every single one I think. I should've bought more Tamashii Stage Rings while they were cheap.

ZackRoyer 11-09-2015 04:52 AM

Lmao the classic pointy tits. Love the polygonal look and if Figma wasn't so over expensive in my country I would get them (if they ever get to my country first).

Make a classic Tomb Raider one and I forget the price.

Figma Virtua Fighter Figures Fully Painted - The Toyark - News

http://news.toyark.com/wp-content/up...ua-Fighter.jpg

dukefett 01-25-2016 10:24 AM

These look great. Akira's hands look almost comically large though.

Poison Shadow 01-25-2016 10:59 AM

Never cared about Virtua Fighter myself, but these are pretty awesome!

I'd LOVE a similar line from Resident Evil and RE2, but Capcom never seems to give the license to companies that care.

They were comically large in the game as well. Those feet of his were ridiculous too. They were also one of the last things you wanted to get hit by, as Akira had one of the easiest ring out combos to do in the game if you ever got caught by them.

These are really awesome. A shame I'm not a fan of these characters. If they announce a Wolf or Jacky, I would be all in though, especially considering they were in game rivals to Sarah and Akira.

Sega and Figma, make it happen! My wallet is ready for you!

These aren't my favorites either, but I'm definitely all in on a line like this, just to ensure we get my faves Wolf and Jeffrey.

Joe Moore 01-25-2016 03:27 PM

These are in that weird game related figure realm that I won't be able to resist.

scarecrow 01-26-2016 07:13 PM

These are so friggin strange and provide so much bad nostalgia lol.

I would love to see a series of Tekken 2 figures done like this.

Preorders just went up! Akira Sarah

Amiami has a bunch of pics, including this one showing off the 2P costumes, the descriptions say they will be available later.

http://www.toyark.com/attachment.php...1&d=1453873088

I'm glad these are reasonably priced, little over $30 before shipping. At that rate I might pick up the 2P versions too.

Startaiger 01-27-2016 03:52 AM

I love the concept of these figs, very unique. Now, I' m not a fan of this game (Street Fighter Forever!!), but a Lara Croft figure done in this style would be an instant purchase.

dukefett 01-27-2016 11:29 AM

In the details it says

Quote:

A flexible plastic is used for important areas, allowing proportions to be kept without compromising posability.
I wonder what parts that would be, there doesn't seem to be like hip skirts or something that would hinder articulation. Sarah's hair is the only thing I could think of but that's not exactly an 'important area'.

Nightrain 01-27-2016 12:56 PM

I want that arcade cabinet.

Frank Richards 01-27-2016 02:12 PM

Like far too many others, my love of the VF series was overshadowed by my interest in Tekken and Dead or Alive, but I logged countless hours practicing Wolf's elaborate throws.
I'm still undecided about whether I'll be picking these up, but either way, I love it when cult-favorite and classic gaming franchises receive action figures.
