Design A Wave
 

So we all have our hopes and wishes for a 6" Marvel Legends Wave. I thought it would be fun to design a 6-8 person wave and BAF. Who would you pick? It could be themed or not, it's up to you. If you want to use figures that Hasbro has announced but are yet to show up in any waves, feel free.
It feels like we haven't done a thing like this in a while.

My pick would be:
-BAF Nimrod- based off the Hulkbuster design with altered sculpting. I think that would look awesome!
-Cyclops (Jim Lee version) with Nimrod head
-Professor X (Preferably with Hover Chair) with Nimrod upper body
-Exodus (because we need some bad guys) with Nimrod left arm
-Beast/Dark Beat (Swap, with different BAF parts) with Nimrod legs
-Kitty Pryde (current X-Men outfit, not Star Lady, because we need an updated one) with Nimrod right arm
-Lilandra (Seriously, we need one) with Nimrod lower body
-Rouge (Jim Lee version that Hasbro showed) comes with Onslaught Head, doesn't apply to the BAF for the wave

I'm not going to touch the X-wave stuff. I'm pretty biased on what I want there. So instead I'll choose to go with the general ML

BAF: Attuma - because Namor needs his arch nemesis and this guy is huge, he would need to be a BAF to accurately get this done right.

Songbird - mostly the MIA sculpt we saw a few years back but with the longer hair. She's needed to be done. Comes with Attuma's body

Northstar/Aurora - classic iconic looks on this swap. Comes with Attuma's left arm.

Shaman - another sorely needed Alpha Flight member - Comes with Attuma's right arm.

Wizard - classic and very much missing F4 villain. Comes with Attuma's left leg.

Mach IV - Another key Thunderbolts member. Comes with Attuma's head

Morlun - Fairly important Spider-man villain. Comes with Attuma's right leg.

A second wave!

Kingpin BAF. I know we have a Kingpin figure already but this guy needs a Hasbro mold, and he needs to be massive.

Spectrum - Kingpin Body - As much as I'd like the original Captain Marvel outfit Monica had, I think it's more likely we'd get her Spectrum outfit. And I'm actually okay with that.

Justice/Firestar - Their outfits from their stint on the Avengers please. Comes wtih Kingpin's left leg

Enchantress - MUCH needed figure. Comes with Kingpin's right leg

Graviton - both a classic short hair and more recent (well 90's) long hair version headswap. Comes with Kingpin's head.

Shang Chi - I'd prefer his modern red outfit look for this. Comes with Kingpin's right arm.

Purple Man - Comes with Kingpin's left arm.

If there was a third wave I would probably say Atlas, and help to finish off the Thunderbolts, Alpha Flight and villains like Count Nefaria and Living Lazer/Killgrave

BAF: Darkhawk and Talon joint BAF from War of Kings
-Mantis - DnA era Guardians uniform - Comes with Darkhawk and Talon heads
-Phyla Vell - Quasar or Martyr - Comes with Darkhawk legs
-Jack Flagg - DnA era Guardians uniform - Comes with Talon legs
-Adam Warlock - DnA era uniform - Comes with Darkhawk arms
-Cosmo - Because I damn well want my space dog! - Comes with Darkhawk and Talon torsos. Hey, Cosmo is a small figure so why not?
-Quasar - Annihilation/Annihilators arc uniform - comes with additional pieces to transform Darkhawk into war mode armor
-Silver Surfer - Because TBM NEEDS a new Surfer LOL and he's kind of due for a new figure anyway - comes with additional pieces to transform Talon into war mode armor

Baf: Charlie 23 - Guardians 3000 costume - because I fully feel he should be as big as Hulk
-Major Victory - Blue and White uniform with Cap's shield - Comes with Charlie head
-Martinex - Guardians 3000 look - comes with Charlie arm
-Yondu - Guardians 3000 look - comes with Charlie leg
-Starhawk - Guardians 3000 look - comes with Charlie leg
-Geena Drake - Guardians 3000 look - comes with Charlie torso
-Nikki - Guardians 3000 look -comes with Charlie arm

I love that Guardians wave idea. Although I would want a Badoon trooper or something in there. That would be cool! I'd buy like 3.

Crazy thought, how about a wave of 6 different Multiple Man figures with a strong guy BAF?

Enchantress- with Surtur head
Angela (since they announced her anyway)- with Surtur Tail
Lady Sif- with Surtur Body
Skurge the Executioner (he could be the bigger non BAF for the wave)- with Surtur arm
Lady Thor with Surtur arm
Balder the Brave- with Surtur leg
Heimdall- with Surtur leg

I'll give a shot at this. This is mostly just figures I'd want to see that could work with a potential Spider-Man wave:

BAF - Sandman w/ interchangeable parts
- Miles Morales Spider-Man w/ a new teenage body mold, interchangeable hands, and maybe an unmasked head.
- Moon Knight
- Colleen Wing/Silver Sable because Hasbro loves to have the female figures as swaps for each other.
- Mysterio
- Tombstone
- Morlun


Don't know how I would split the parts up.

I had considered a Badoon as well but ended up going straight up heroes. I love the Madrox idea. I have been saying for a long time Hasbro should release army builder boxes and Madrox is a great example of a character for that type of system. So are Skrull and Kree soldiers

For those of you who are sick of hearing about my Fantastic Four obsession, prepare to roll your eyes in annoyance, lol !

1) Reed Richards - with interchangeable "stretchy" limbs, a la the older Toy Biz versions, but with legs as well !
2a) Sue Richards - hopefully this would actually be a good figure of Sue, since the previous ones are either outdated or just horrible
2b) Sue Richards - running variant, with translucent "invisible" limbs. Maybe a fully translucent figure ?
3a) Johnny Storm - "flaming on" - there are plenty of OK Human Torch figures, but one on a new Hasbro buck would be nice
3b) Johnny Storm - running variant, non-flaming
4a) Ben Grimm - I'd like to see if Hasbro could improve upon the amazing Thing figures that Toy Biz made. Their first attempts were horrendous, but Hasbro seems to have stepped up their game lately.
*BTW, I'd prefer to see the previously mentioned figures all in uniforms that resemble the more modern ones designed by Bryan Hitch (in Mark Millar's run) and Dale Eaglesham (in Jonathan Hickman's run).
4b) Ben Grimm - running variant, in his Guardians of the Galaxy uniform
5) The Wizard - yes, this probably is the hundredth time that I've mentioned my desire to FINALLY get a Legends figure of the Wizard.
He's just too important to the F4 to not have a figure yet !
6) The Trapster - see above comment, lol

*) NO Doom ! - There are already so many Doom figures to choose from ! Not every X-Men wave has Magneto in it, so why should Hasbro saddle another F4 wave with another Doom figure ?!? Especially with all of the under-represented F4 villains !

And, for the Build-A-Figure ? NONE ! That's right, none !
Instead, I'd prefer if each figure was packaged with a smaller figure of one of the Future Foundation kids.
How else are we ever going to get figures of Val, Bentley, Alex or a modern Franklin ?

AND, to drive the demand for this wave, since, frankly, there isn't exactly a huge demand for F4 figures these days, Hasbro would be wise to make it a retailer exclusive, like the F4 Ronan wave was.
My vote would be for Walgreens, because, well, I never seem to have any trouble finding their exclusive figures since Walgreens stores are EVERYWHERE in my area :)

Hi all, it's been awhile. I've got a ton of characters in mind, and I think if Hasbro wanted to sell out an entire wave, they should do more fan voted on figures. If it was an 8 figure wave then make 80 choices available.....? I dunno, but there are so many to do.

When I went about this challenge, I first attempted to create a wave of figures that could legitimately be found at retail and followed all of Hasbro's current "rules". Follows a central theme (Secret Wars), has two Marvel staple characters( Spider-man & Hulk), and has only two female characters (Thor & Black Swan).

That MI13 wave is awesome! That would be an excellent set. I like the End of the Earth suit, that would make a neat figure too!

Each figure would have a swap. One being the Masers of Evil Version, the other being a Thunderbolt Version.

That's my ultimate dream.

Given the timing, I'd love to see a wave devoted to the 20th anniversary of one of Marvel's more fondly-remembered events:

BAF: Ol' Blue Lips himself, Apocalypse, in his AoA armor and cape.
Magneto (either removable helmet or swappable heads)

Sabretooth (while I'd love to include Wild Child, that might be too much to include given the BAF part)
Love and War: Weapon X/Jean Grey
Horsemen of Apocalypse: Dark Beast/Sinister

Walgreen's Exclusive: Rogue

(Of course, this is only a fraction of the figures I'd love to include in this wave, but I think this is a decent cross-section of tentpole characters from the story.)

Only other one off the top of my head is also a 90s X-Men story, with a few more obscure characters than one would expect, I suppose.

Boy Blunder, those are fantastic. We clearly both like the same eras of X-Men
