Guess they just wanted to stick with a Season 1 version.

Yeah, short hair = no hand. Wouldn't have looked quite right, plus they can sell a special variant with new head and gold hand now!

Yeah that's true, I guess when it comes to figures of this size and expense, I'd rather pay a little more and have a 'definitive' version that'd include many options like another head with long hair and the hand. I can't and I don't know how many could afford the price and space to actually have 2 versions of 1/6 scale figures.
