Beetle, Jack O' Lantern, Venom and Spider-Gwen are all day-ones for me. This is easily one of the best Legends waves in ages (although I couldn't care less about the Absorbing Man BAF).

BTW, I just started reading the Superior Foes of Spider-Man series...is that Silvermane head on an RC car thing that comes with Speed Demon some kind of a spoiler (albeit a funny one)?

donmeca2020 12-04-2015 08:18 AM

Looking forward to this wave, im wanting just about all of them.

can i claim the beetle's baf piece when you get her :D ?

webz 12-04-2015 10:17 AM

Love the Venom... but he doesn't scale well for me when posed with Legends Carnage and pizza-eating Spidey. Venom in the 90's towered over Spidey & carnage... so Select Venom is my Venom of choice.

Awesome they finally made a good looking mass-retail Venom toy. This reminds me of the little 3in Venom from a few years ago. I prefer the smooth look of this over the textured muscle look of most Venom toys. The alien parasite mimics material, so having him smooth just looks better, imho.

It's a good book, damn funny too. Technically yes the Silvermane head is a spoiler but it technically shouldn't come with Speed-Demon it should come with SPOILER Shocker since he's the one who actually gets the head SPOILER.

Phantomcrow 12-04-2015 12:24 PM

I hope in one of the next spider man waves we get a new Shocker. I would also like a suited Norman Osborn and a casual Peter Parker at some point. Or god forbid, a MJ and regular Gwen Stacy?? Hell just make this an amazon 4 pack and call it good. Peter can come with a bonus half mask Spidey head like when his Spidey Sense is going off. Norman could come with a regular and Laughing head, Gwen could come with a web line that could attach to her foot, and MJ could come with Ms. Lion (I really want a complete set of the Pet Avengers)

Trivial Psychic 12-04-2015 01:16 PM

The Loves of Peter Parker - (box set exclusive)

Mary Jane Watson
Gwen Stacy
Felicia Hardy (Could be in civillian attire, or her NOW look.)
Anna Maria Marconi

Too bad Hasbro probably thinks a four pack of female figures will never sell. As an Amazon exclusive or something like that, I'd buy this in a heartbeat (just no soft goods please!).

I would too, would be a great exclusive.

TheBlueMarvel 12-04-2015 03:13 PM

I'm less than enthusiastic about the wings on Morbius. I had the set pre-ordered, but I cancelled it in lieu of possible "spot pickups." I'll likely change my mind before it's all said and done...it depends on how much Absorbing Man will cost me in absentia.

Toss in Betty Brant and Carlie Cooper, and I'm sold! :)

warmachine6 12-04-2015 04:10 PM

i think they would sell better as two-packs
spidey classic , and MJ
with variations like gwen for example

GizmoTron 12-04-2015 06:27 PM

I still don't understand Absorbing Man as a BAF for a Spider-Man wave, but he does look nice. Gonna pick up the whole wave on this one for sure.

Dr Kain 12-04-2015 08:06 PM

Oh snap, I know what I am going to be using my extra Maria Hill body for now. I don't care if Gwen is not a Shield agent.

Then they can go the Chameleon route, with swap out Bettie Brant, Charlie Cooper, and Cindy Moon heads!..lol.

Two packs would be interesting though, they really could do enough there...such as...

Spider-man (with McFarlane style mask and head) / Mary Jane
Spider-man (Ditko style with nerdy high-school head) / Gwen Stacy
Superior Spider-man (with spiderpack/Octavious google head) / Anna Maria Marconi
Spectacular Spiderman (animated series look / teenage buck) / Felicia Hardy (either Marvel Now or Ultimate universe look)

Bonus packs...
Harry Osborne / Menace (with swap out Lilly Hollister head)
Aunt May Parker / Otto Octavious =P

That Venom is the best I have ever seen! In the 90's I saw Mark Bagley's version first and loved it. McFarlane's was a close second. He appeared a big bodybuilder guy that moves as fast as Spidey...not an oversized hulk (no disrespect to Ron Lim). The web shooting fists and extra head are great bonuses. Would have loved a basic Eddie Brock head though for use with this, Anti-Venom and Toxin.

warmachine6 12-05-2015 12:45 PM

i think now , with solidified body molds i.e bucky cap mold , the Hyperion body mold, hopefully kraven's one , and the new spidey molds
we shall get more accessories , like swap-able heads and hands. They might bring it back for iron man.... but who knows.

I'd still say the select Venom is the best, at least for looks. As a toy with articulation this one will surely be better. Select Venom perfectly captures the look of a very muscular but still tall and lean body.

definitely select venom and carnage trump this new venom and the legends carnage... the only problem they tower over the legends on my shelf.

Also select Venom (I don't have select Carnage) has major problems standing on his own.

I do really like the legends Carnage and I intend to get the legends Venom, there's just that recognition that the select figures are much more presentable.

Robogeek28 12-06-2015 06:13 AM

I really wish that Creel had a second normal arm.

Ah well.
