Please help Identifying this!
 

in 1987 the Star Trek the Next Generation Production crew needed to build some "extra" starships... well they made this one using spare toy parts... can anyone identify what toy this is from (so I can get one and make the ship with accurate parts?) the pictures are from the production 26 years ago... I am looking at the "Pod" on the back of the ship, you can see it in the coned down view too. to me it looks like a Cockpit or window from a vehicle but I have yet to be able to find which one. I've looked at:
Air Raiders toys, Laser Force toys, M.A.S.K. vehicles, Coleco Starcom vehicles, Robotix cockpit canopies, Construx cockpit canopies. It doesn't appear to be from any of these lines. Please help!

Unfortunately no, those are just fan creations based on the third and 4th pictures that were out for the last 20 years... I'm just looking for what toy they used on the studio model to create the box on the back, I have added arrows in this picture to the entire structure, and a canopy that is close but still not right... from from the Captain Power: Phantom Striker as an example of what I believe to part to be, a vehicle canopy.

You're looking at 1987 when you should be looking as far as 1990.

I agree it is was probably made from a toy in 1989 or 1990 (depending on when they kitbashed the model).

Yeah sorry, I wish I could be more help here. I could tell you quite a few things it is not, but you have probably already looked through most of those toylines. To me it reminds me more of an anime line like Mospeada, but it isn't anything I recognize.

Got some newer pictures from different angles... hopefully this will help figure out what toy this mystery piece came from!

Well we found the part. Tomy Tomics Rotary Commander (or Treadmaster) sets. now we need to find the actual toy. Any Ideas where to look?
