I had TONS of these when i was kid, i might jump on board and grab one or two for the hell of it. that is of course IF the price is doable.
|
Mondo is going out of their way on Twitter to tall people the price will be affordable. So I'm being optimistic here.
|
Mondo and Affordable do not go hand in hand LOL
But I have to think that they will not be going crazy with these as far as price goes. Nothing about them says 'limited' like prints or vinyl from them so $10 would be fair and at most $12.99 I'd love to see some packaging. |

These being vinyl and looking really really good as far as the paintwork goes I bet they're $20-25. |
$20 per is pushing it for me, $25 per puts them out of the running.
|
I like them! I would enjoy giving a few to my young son to give him new memories.
|
Yeah they cant be asking $20-$25 for those. I mean unless it comes with a collectible packaging and not on the cheap, then $15 is the max.
I 'get it' when it comes to nostalgia and all but especially since these are vinyl. |
Please tell me they will be releasing Oculus Orbus.

Mondoballs?
Well alrighty then. |
Oh man. These looks great! I had the original Slobulus... He looks great here! If these are $10-$15 I'm definitely going to have to get Slobulus and maybe a few others. :)

Ok, so apparently Madballs are the name of the original series redos. Mondoballs are the "new" ones? I don't know. They aren't doing a very good job of explaining it.
Also, at $20 a pop, it just seems too much. Was really hoping for about $15 for each. The last go round of these in 2009/2010, they were only $5 each. So quadruple the cost seems overpriced to me. |
For $20 a pop, I ordered 1. The skull one is one of my favorites! If you want a vintage one in good shape it would be around $40 loose. Seems worth it for me. My only complaint is the shipping. I hope they release Dust Brain next.
|
Im gonna jump on one, only thing i notice no body for them... i wonder if the original will work or fit.
|
They said just a little while back, $10-$15 now it's $20.

The Marvel ones are supposed to be cheaper, apparently.

Tired of inflated "collector" pricing, it's the reason I've almost completely stopped buying new toys that are homages (or re-issues) of toys from our youth. This market is no longer "niche". Production runs are large enough to offer the consumer better value. They've got Chinese slaves pumping this stuff out for peanuts, while still charging like these are made in factories where people aren't being taken advantage of.
Went over board here...but that's the disgusting truth. And is Mondo nuts? they want $30+ USD for international shipping of one MadBall, via First Class! Mondo can kiss their international sales goodbye. And this pre-order 6 months in advance crap...may as well be a kickstarter campaign. |
I agree 100% with what you said. Many videos online showing how much they pump out in the labor camps they call factories.
I can see prices for stuff like S.H.Figuarts or Hot Toys, but that's far from the stuff Mattel and Hasbro pump out and these Mondoballs are a simple blow-mold type item. |
