Any info on this 1960s(?) Police Patrol Friction Car
5 Attachment(s)
Trying to find any information on this Japanese produced Police Patrol friction car. Does anyone know details and/or approximate value? The wheels still turn and make slight noise.
Thanks so much! |

Thanks
Yes, I saw those on Ebay, I was hoping for a bit more than an eBay listing - which doesn't necessarily tell me much about the item or if the value is accurate. It merely shows what someone thinks it's worth and - if there are bids - that others agree, Does anyone know if $10 is the right value?

Sounds about right. These were produced by Nakamura. Not particularly rare or valuable--$5-15 range I would say.

Thanks for the info!
Thanks for the company name as well. I have a larger version - similar style. Is that also in the same price range?

Hard to say without specifics. I don't really dabble in this type of thing but I check different stuff out at toy shows. Friction motor cars I don't think ever really snatch as much as larger wind-ups or battery operated toys or even die-cast, particularly now when vintage collectibles are not really commanding the prices they did 10-15 years ago. Just a wild guess that it might be in the $20-40 range depending on condition and if it works.

Many thanks Thor!
