Marvel Legends Giant Man BAF Civil War Wave 2016 - The Toyark - News

Black Arbor 02-01-2016 10:19 AM

So who the Heck are combatant blue, hero battler red and hero ace red 2? Are those placeholder names on the list? Maybe a placeholder for Spidey?

Harbinger 02-01-2016 10:27 AM

Hopefully one is a legends cw hawkeye.

Dr Kain 02-01-2016 10:31 AM

Wow, that makes it easy. I've got the SDCC Giant Man, so I don't need this BAF at all. Black Panther is a must, maybe Iron Man and Nick Fury, but the rest can go fly a kite. A shame though, I was hoping for another Serpent Society member.

Captain Nash 02-01-2016 10:57 AM

If it's a movie Black Panther, getting that one for sure. Might get Red Guardian. The other list is larger, I see a Scarlet Witch on there. If she's a movie SW I'll get her too. Not sure who combatant Blue or the Red Battler thing is...or Age of X, so I can't really say on those for sure. The rest..no real interest in or in completing this BAF.

Exodus 02-01-2016 10:58 AM

Interesting that they have SW again, must be the movie version?

warmachine6 02-01-2016 11:29 AM

Captain Britain !!!! :D hoping its the Revolutionary war costume
Now just need the rest of M.I.13
Edit: hmm no falcon or Winter Solider figure strange o.O the GM BAF seems a bit cheap,
for me its just Iron Skull , it's another red-skull head , though might be the same as the WS one. Varying on the costume Captain Britain. Oh maybe crossbones , though he might be the movie one , if not i shall get him , SDCC one / Hasbro oldest one is pricey
I'm happy with the Toy-biz Giant-man, not even bothered about it being the classic look ,plus its not a Blown-up ant-man figure

Trivial Psychic 02-01-2016 11:38 AM

Wow...while anyone who can put two and two together should have seen it coming, that Giant Man is not a spoiler or anything. I highly recommend tagging this thread with a possible spoiler alert, because while I saw it coming, it was a spoiler I could have done without. When Rey with lightsaber was released for TFA, there were spolier tags all over, this honestly is no different.

That said, this is a REALLY weak wave of Legends, but at least it gives those of us who missed out on older Legends Black Panther Crossbones, and Classic Nick Fury an opportunity to have a second crack at them without breaking the bank with some of the crazy secondary market prices that plague both of the original Hasbro releases. (Although I am sure Crossbones will be an MCU version, and finally. We need more MCU villians.) I only have interest in Nuke thanks to his recent appearance in Jessica Jones, and I know nothing about Red Guardian. The Iron Man and MCU Cap are direct repaints, so there is little interest there as well. Been a while since I've seen Legends peg warm, but this will be the likely wave to do it.

BAD MOON 02-01-2016 11:45 AM

Classic Fury for the win!!!!!!!

deadironpoolman 02-01-2016 11:50 AM

REALLY hope that giant man head is compatible with the mcu antman we got last summer. Would be so dope.

Judging from him being a BAF, I'm gonna say he's pretty big, like Giant Man big. I don't think the head will work. But I could be wrong.

*sigh* it would only make sense... oh well :(

Keep in mind, this is likely going to be shown in two weeks at Toy Fair. We won't be spoiler tagging anything from that event. There have been reports and pics of Giant Man LEGO, Giant Man Pops, Giant Man Dorbz and such. So the "Spoiler" is going to be out of the bag at that point.

Yeah, or Black Mamba

TheBlueMarvel 02-01-2016 12:14 PM

There is another Serpent Society member on the list...King Cobra in the rumored second wave.

Now give me my Mr. Hyde, Hasbro.

Boy Blunder 02-01-2016 12:22 PM

Oh good. After the Red Onslaught wave and the X-Men wave (no matter who's in it), my wallet will need a break, and this looks like it'll do. Definitely gonna be going for T'Challa and MCU Wanda (if that list is wholly legit), and possibly Crossbones (if he's MCU). Very curious to see who the three 'codenamed' figures are... c'mon, MCU Quicksilver!

Iron man actually has a new head and torso, not sure about his limbs though...

donmeca2020 02-01-2016 01:38 PM

interesting apparently no one has noticed, that this supposed giant man looks identical to the movie Ant-man costume which is a tad bit confusing. last i checked, the giant man from the Ant-man SDCC2015 set is accurate rendition of him, also the current Giant-man isn't even Hank Pym any longer....

Black Panther is a definite purchase
iron-man maybe
captain america maybe
Nick Fury HELL YES !!!!!
Captain Britain yea i think so as well.

The rest sound not interesting to me.

Uhm... yeah, that's because this Giant Man is the movie Ant-Man. It got leaked a while back via a Lego set that Scott Lang would super-size himself at some point during Civil War. So... yeah?

Maybe he means this Giant Man looks more like Ant Man than the regular Marvel Legend since he actually has his mouth covered this time? :D

It got leaked ? when and where ? any links to this leak? i have never seen nor heard about this... quite frankly it's kind of disappointing, looks like a automatic pass for me at least

I mean i have NEVER seen a GIANT MAN whether in comics or whatever, look like the last years Ant-man movie appearance before EVER....

Notice my attached photos.... Giant man is the big one the other one is movie ant-man for those are either don't know comic appearances or have not seen the ant-man movie last year. This Giant man BAF looks IDENTICAL to Paul Rudd's movie ant-man suit.

There's a few VERY subtle differences, but yeah, it looks a lot closer to the Ant-Man movie suit than the first pass did, haha

Kamatayan 02-01-2016 02:17 PM

This also confirms the Giant Man CW rumors. It was said that not only would he go big, but he would get a new suit. And as you can see, this Giant Man figure has a lot of noticeable differences to the original one.

Now, fingers crossed it's as big as this Giant Man:

Ravenxl7 02-01-2016 02:53 PM

Nice to see that there looks to be a MCU Scarlet Witch on the way. At least, I can't imagine them doing another comic version just a year after the last one. Hopefully she won't be in some sort of multi-pack.
