I'm about half with you on calling these statues. It's true that these stand at an impressive ten-inches ;) and don't have much articulation, but true statues? I'm thinking they are somewhere in-between. Not really sure what these should be called (but I guess that's the debate).

McFarlane Toys was where I started when I began to collect figures as an adult about 15ish years ago, so they hold a place in my heart.

The line between figure and statue has been blurring over the past couple years. Just look at the ARTFX Halo statues, which feature 10 points of articulation, yet they still call them statues. Sideshow calls their Premium Format stuff "Figures". It's so strange anymore.

For me, if the character can't move out of a static pose, then I see it more as a statue.
