Metal Gear Solid: Solid Snake
this one came out a little rougher than Big boss, though the build was much more involved. aside from the resculpted Airborne head with twistie Bandanna (i needed to find one that resembled cloth to a degree for the trademark waviness) the shoulder pads and pectorals were sculpted over the ROC Snake Eyes torso.

Stone body for Big Boss, ends up taller than most joes. http://sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-..._4477979_n.jpg if given the materials i'd like to do a second, lighter colored (more game-accurate) version, and an MGS2 version  , but this one will do for now. he looks snake-y enough anyway. now for some action shots: http://sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-..._1858153_n.jpg http://sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-...0_873826_n.jpg http://sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-..._2228886_n.jpg recipe: head- resculpted Airborne head with flexi-bandanna torso/upper arms- ROC snake eyes forearms- 25th comic snake-eyes with sculpted elbow pads upper legs/kneecaps- Air-viper (?) * the one that came with outback lower legs- comic pack Firefly feet- comic pack Cobra Commander (hooded) webgear- Airborne gun- ROC deep six |

Wow, fracking fantastic! I like this one even more than your Big Boss... And I'm hands down all about Big Boss. Great job.

Wow, eisen. I've had a parts list for a custom MGS1 Snake in my head for a while but I didn't have enough time or materials to make it a reality. But seeing the great job you've done with your custom, I think I'll have to start searching for figures to turn into the Legendary Soldier.
BTW what exactly is the bandana made of? I was thinking a twisty tie or even a real piece of cloth might work. |
it's a twistie :) the kind that's wrapped in the flat plastic exterior
|
just for fun (and testing out my new basic airbrush) i whipped up a spare-parts MGS2 body for Solid Snake. it's not very accurate (lacks stubble on his face) though again, i made sure that he looked "Snake-y" enough.
