Spiderman 3.75 Wave 4 Featuring Carnage!!

Credit to Marvelousnews:

Spider-Man 3.75" Carnage And Ben Reilly Spider-Man Figures Revealed - Marvel - MarvelousNews.com

I know the picture looks crappy but I think Carnage has balljoints for legs and bending at the knees.

What do you think?

scarecrow 06-27-2010 07:59 PM

I'm all about Ben Reilly, although I'm sad it's not hoodie Scarlet Spidey.

sabretoothe 06-27-2010 11:44 PM

carnage head sculpt looks good but what the hell is up with his body?

Yeah its not really as beefy as I would want it to be

eisen 06-28-2010 04:38 AM

ARGH. Ben Reilly Spiderman! MUST. GET.

boombatty 06-28-2010 06:02 AM

Ben Reilly looks like NO knee joint *sigh*

Why HASBLO WHY? I understand this is a line aimed at kids but it is SPIDERMAN! Spiderman, even as a kids line SHOULD BE defined by it's articulation. Why? Because it is a hero who can contort himself into a Circe de Soliel member.

CrownCoke 06-28-2010 06:04 AM

The image from entertainment earth is a little better.

His feet look a little weird, but it just could be a bad angle.

Well, he isn't supposed to be beefy. Cletus Kasady was always shown as lean and muscular. Brock, on the other hand, looks more like a weight-lifter or pro wrestler.

It almost looks like the Marvelous News photo was photoshopped from this one. :)

Tarquinius 06-28-2010 07:35 AM

I truly think that they gave Carnage knee articulation, just looking at how the upper part of the joint seems to be carved out a tad. They did give everyone balljoints so this may be Hasbro finally listening to us

Or it could just be me being really optimistic.

I like how they gave Carnage an accessory which utilizies his shape shifting ability.. It'd be kinda cool to create custom accessories for him like a big axe that could fit into his wrist peg and attach it on.

ludovicotek 06-28-2010 05:37 PM

I've bought all the villains from this line that are not yet offered in MU and will continue to do so with Carnage. The fact that they seem to be adding a little more articulation does make me happy, though. I'm definitely not holding my breath in hopes that Hasbro will integrate more articulation into this line because I don't believe they ever will.

Autobot_Goldbug 06-28-2010 07:35 PM

Well Carnage seems to be the Marvel Ultimate Alliance version. He does have knees.
Ben Reilly does have knees too.
The Marvelousnews photo was from EE.

Ian7 06-28-2010 10:34 PM

HELL YEAH CARNAGE!
Finally another addition for my Symbiote Shelf.

Galaxy Ranger 06-29-2010 04:07 AM

With all the Spider-Man options (and I understand the kids sale point) but how about a 2099 or Paper Bag Spidey!!

That's hilarious. :)

Oh, well. Our news story, with proper credit to both Tarq and EE:

not slighting tarq at all but crowncoke was the arker that discovered the EE image.

CrownCoke 06-29-2010 07:26 AM

Its all good. We just need to see this Carnage with upclose and clear pics. Then i can decide if I want to get him or continue with the custom i have planned out.

Tarq - Thank for the Marvelous image, I saw that one and knew that it sucked for clarity.

this is the part where we pray for proper ankle articulation.

True, but the credit Tarq got was for posting that there was a new image at all.

But I definitely give CrownCoke props for showing us the original source of the image, even if the other site couldn't be bothered.

indeed. it is a shame.

now all we need is photos packed with high-ressy goodness!

CrownCoke 06-29-2010 01:25 PM

I so want to see this figure in person! Or at least hope that someone can get us better pics of this figure so that we can have some honest inspection of it.

I hope that you are right on this. I could not tell with the graphics on this PC.

Tarquinius 06-29-2010 06:58 PM

I'm pretty optimistic it has knees. Look at how the sculpt "sculpts" inwards right above the knee.

We've bitched Hasbro out enough about the line in the last 3 Q and As.

Like everybody said above; the Crowncake Image (as I will now refer to) has a bit better clarity and shows this feature a bit better.

Crowncake Image > Zapruder Film

It's more likely that they just wanted to highlight the 2 new characters. They did credit EE for the news.

So they did the right thing after all. The news story didn't look like that when I saw it earlier today. CrownCoke's post was the first time I read a mention of EE regarding this.

But hey, it's a moot point now. I will say if Carnage has knees, I might actually get him. Maybe even Ben too. Still have to see them both in person before I decide, though.
