My guess is you didn't grow up with him when he was originally released. ;)

I was thrilled about the news at Botcon and this was even better news. Now I would only have to wait until August of this year at the latest to finally get a replacement Piranacon. And I won't have to resort to Ebay to do it. I couldn't be happier.

The Seacons were one of the best of the original gestalts:

• It was a "Scramble City"-type combiner
• One of the more articulated gestalts
• It was a targetmaster, since any of the smaller team members could form the main gestalt gun in addition to their robot, limb and alt modes
• Any other Scramble City limb could now have a gun mode usable by Piranacon, thanks to his unique hands!

In short: he's awesome.

Agreed. I like BBTS, always have. Definitely going to pre-order this today just as soon as I get to work.

OHHH ho ho....one of the best G1 gestalts AND at only $50 which is cheap for this kind of exclusive, considering the gift set is a bitch/PITA to find MIB much less complete, AND this set is only exclusive to one etailer!

To think, just weeks back I was flipping through my G1 guide by Bellomo staring at how awesome Pirhanacon was....and reading how hard it was to complete...and then this past week we see the Seacons at Botcon.

$50 WELL SPENT INDEED! Might buy the TakaraTomy Predaking too!

I'd even be willing to pay the $140 or so that he was going for at Botcon, if it meant a proper reissue. Hey, Japan got Sky Lynx finally, why can't we get us some G1 Star Saber?

I just ordered one.....this will be my first purchase from BBTS.

Joel from BBTS confirmed over at TFW that this reissue will come with the black stands as the original did, but some of the colors are not exact. The sword will be chrome, and not pink as the original was.

Very happy about the stands and only a little sad that Snaptrap loses his original "Coral Pink Nightmare". The chromed version sounds like a winner, though.

With those stands, I might start trolling Ebay for old Scramble-City limbs on the cheap so I can give Piranacon his own arms depo :)

I sold my original last year for over $200

Nice I get to buy it back new and cheap :)

If I had the money for this, I would be all over it. Maybe later, if it's not sold out by then.
