I like the spidey...i'm not a huge fan of that particular iron man...

I guess it could depend on what action figure scale you prefer. The two figures are NOT in the same scale/compatible, this could affect your judgement. The Spider-man is from Marvel Select and is in the 7in scale, while Iron Man is from Marvel Legends and is in the 6in scale.

This. Both figures are solid but you should go with the ML route. If you wanna collect the Select stuff you'll have to commit to the 7" scale which is harder to collect than the 3.75" or 6" stuff because they're not usually at most retail stores like Target, TRU, or Walmart. And plus, the Iron Man could prove useful if you want to get a bunch of Iron Man suits to make a hall of armor setup.
