Leave it to China sellers to destroy collectibility,and devalue sought after toys! From what I heard the two are almost indistinguishable,and a slightly talented customizer could blur the line even more to almost undetectable with or without an original to compare it to.

Pretty sure my BAF Red Hulk is a knock off. Really doesn't matter if you're just after the figure.

Not surprised that's it DP, other figures may start getting KO but agreed sad to see them do this, but not a surprise sigh. Mainland China loves to ruin anything. I'm Chinese by the way...

I mean, I'm not trying to say knock-offs are a good thing, but if the above posters are correct in that they're nearly indistinguishable then at least people aren't getting ripped off with an inferior product, right? That's a hell of a lot better than buying some knock-off and discovering it has paint that's like 5 shades off and the plastic is so brittle that simple posing snaps joints off.

The most recent Deadpool figure from the X-Men Legends wave has been knocked off as well, it seems. I'm not brave enough to buy one and compare the quality, though.

Are you sure? I found only 4 listings out of Hong Kong, 2 each using the same photos. As far as I can tell, they only lack the 2 large silver guns, the boxing glove, and bazooka. Could these just be stolen factory samples/overstock or did they knock him off that fast, that exact???

If shit like this keeps up, then I'm going to be very concerned collecting Marvel Legends. Hell, they already knocked off Pizza Spiderman.

Don't really see how it hurts people other then the scalpers wanting top dollar. Simple way to avoid getting a knock off version is simply avoid the one on ebay going for a reasonable price and of course what Nitelife said. Avoid sellers from China...

I'm not, but loose figures from China sold in massive quantities for substantially less than the scalpers are either stolen or knockoffs.
The only knockoffs of anything I've ever bought were a few Masterpiece Transformers, and the quality on those was exceptional. There's a very quick turnaround as counterfeit versions of those are made, so it wouldn't surprise me at all if they've been able to do the same with Deadpool this soon. It's likely they've had access to the figure to start the process long before it was released, they always do.
I'd be delighted if I was wrong, but it's not difficult to foresee that demand for this figure will be ahead of supply for quite a while.

I can't see how the demand for the newest Deadpool is that strong. I mean, Carnage is selling for more than TacoPool and Venom is selling at the same amount as TacoPool (around $35 shipped).

It's really Hasbro's fault this is happening. They are not meeting demand with these figures, even older ones. If they did, then the bootleggers would have no reason to knock them off. Hasbro has the molds, they could reissue older, rarer figures if they wanted to or re-release them in different colors so the originals still retained their value. I'm sure reissues/repaints of Toybiz Deadpool, McFarlane Spidey, Snapshot Spidey, Dragon Man, FF4 6" Annihilus, Hasbro Crossbones, Hasbro Luke Cage, and many others would sell well. Toybiz and Kenner used to repaint or repack their older figures all the time, so why not do it again as a "Best of/ Fan Favorites" line? Marvel is bigger than ever today, they should have no problem moving these products since they are all popular characters. Its the B, C, and D list characters we groan about because they are still clogging the pegs at all our stores and now the newer waves are either only showing up here and there or not at all. Hell, you cant get the Hulkbuster wave for $10 a figure at BigLots right now and the Ultron wave at TJ Maxx/Marshalls. The last time I saw Marvel Legends hit discounters, it was the Annihilus and Blob waves.

Arguably the best six inch Deadpool figure to date on the heels of his massively successful movie? Which is still a scalper's delight months after its release and selling for double what everything else in its wave sells for? Others may have found theirs, but by and large it's still pretty tough to track down in stores. So yeah, demand is strong and that was not hard to foresee.

If the knockoff is a blow to the scalpers and helps other people get an elusive figure, then I'm all for it. I'm still trying to find one on the pegs, personally.
