Wow. That Harley is totally hideous! Who did they base that face sculpt on? Tilda Swinton?

Alucard1138 09-30-2016 08:51 AM

I'm only familiar with Comicave's Iron Man figures. They're good at armor, doesn't seem like they've quite figured out soft goods. Deadshot overall looks best, Joker looks pretty decent in terms of head sculpt. Harley Quinn is just a failure on every level.

RolandofGilead 09-30-2016 09:17 AM

Might be a nice way to add Joker's henchmen to a Mafex Suicide Squad collection.

The Heat 09-30-2016 11:03 AM

Considering that Hot Toys can barely pull off convincing looking softgoods on their products, I can't see the point why anyone else bothers. It almost always looks inferior to sculpted plastic.

warmachine6 09-30-2016 11:14 AM

the only good thing, i see from this wave is the henchmen

Mordred 09-30-2016 02:08 PM

These are terrible.

rooker 09-30-2016 07:44 PM

better hot toys ver (except henchmen)

name 09-30-2016 10:26 PM

peg bundy staring as Harley Quinn.

A movie can have a thousand 6 inch lines, but we're lucky to get ONE 3 3/4 inch line.

Seriously, am I the only one noticing this?

3 3/4" figures have been moved to the "strictly for children" category by all of the major US toy companies. Don't get me wrong, I stayed with MU from beginning until about a year ago; but just look at what's being put on the pegs now. They're pretty much all 5 PoA figures with poor sculpts and baseline paint apps. Oh, and tons of missile launchers.

Your best bet for new titles in that scale for the foreseeable future (or at least until Dwight Stall leaves Hasbro) is to make your own customs.

The henchmen are somewhat tempting, Deadshot is okay, but woo Harley and Joker look rough. Honestly would like more Joker Henchmen, like Mr Eyeball in prison uniform specifically. Maybe the Batman mask one too. There's some more flattering pictures of the figures in the original post though.

They're becoming more of a less respected collectors thing, from what I've seen. MU has the reduction in articulation(though they're doing better with those restrictions compared to last year, and some new molds are getting back their diaphragm joints), but is still mainly for collectors, and Funko has a Suicide Squad line coming up that's only 9 POA, but strictly for the adult collector. Black series 3.75 inch is limited, but it exists. How many lines ACTUALLY for kids are there in this scale right now? Nothing for Civil War(there were some figures, but not a kids line), nothing for Batman v. Superman, or anything but Star Wars right now.

Deadshot looks really good, but man Harley looks terrible. It's not even just the headsculpt, look at those hips!

englishw 10-03-2016 04:00 PM

Deadshot will be tempting, but Joker and Harley look awful. Nice to see Mezco get some competition in the 1/12 cloth category, but wow... I'm not even slightly tempted by these.
