Well that's certainly...different. Don't really get Donnie as the Undertaker though.

Both of them use their intelligence one for gadgets and weaponry while the other for psyching out opponents.

They gave Donatello a beard because Undertaker, but Michelangelo doesn't get one? I'm confused.

Trivial Psychic 10-07-2016 12:18 PM

They should have made Donnie Bret "The Hitman" Hart, since Brett was a technical wrestler (and the best there was, the best there is, and the best there ever will be...) While Mikey as either the Rock, or Shawn Michaels, as both of them had were fun and exciting to watch, while having larger than life personalities that made them over with the fans.

Interesting idea. I can't say I will be picking any of these up, although I do like Raphael as Sting.

yeah, that makes zero sense.

Heisenberg17 10-07-2016 01:31 PM

I like the Raph looks might pick that one up.

Donnie as Bret makes more sense than Undertaker. And Raph should've totally been Stone Cold but Sting is cool too.

This is what I've missed about the old tmnt line. Would seriously love if they redid the star trek ones and maybe a line of them dressed as movie monsters too honestly the possibilities are endless really.

OriginalFire 10-07-2016 02:33 PM

This is kinda cool

Primehunter 10-07-2016 02:37 PM

So, we're back to this already. Isn't this kind of thing, what killed the line before?

Yep.
I hate' em

Ravenxl7 10-07-2016 08:38 PM

I've never been a fan of wrestling, but even I kinda want a Macho Mikey figure. I've got a couple of friends that I'm sure are freaking out over these. Though I'm also sure one of them isn't exactly happy about Leo Cena, lol

With them being busy with Voltron, and actually doing a pretty good job with it, I wonder if this is all they could come up with for Turtles recently.

Not counting on it, but I still kinda hope they find a way to release a figure, or even a plush of I.C.K.

deecee4 10-08-2016 04:37 AM

yeah this is like a 90s callback that nobody was asking for.

The thing is, they have been doing this sort of thing with the line for a while. We've received the crew dressed as butterflies, as medieval LARP warriors, with action features such as spitting and bugged out eyes, space turtles, and so on. The fact that you're only noticing this now is a surprise.

Most of these variant turtles such as the LARP or Space Turtles were actually featured in the actual episodes or were one shotted, so as out of left field as this might be, this might be prelude to a future episode or special where the Turtles collaborate with the WWE in some way for an episode or a straight to video film, kinda like the collaboration between the WWE and Scooby-Doo a little while back.

Yes. Playmates trying to play it safe and it's stupid, if you don't take risks you won't gain anything. It's like if Hasbro made 70% of transformers as Optimus Prime only and won't put effort in the rest, that's not a way to manage/handel toyline! For God sake, People and children like other charaters besides the turtles, otherwise you have don't story and therfore no reason to like turtles!

I am not into wrestling, but Undertaker Donatello is nice and even made from the first edition of the turles (God, I hate the Nick series ugly 3D character design and animation. Classic animation superior, 3D inferior) . Maybe I will get him.

In addition, Playmates now have 2-3 new toy licenses (Voltron, Ben 10, mysticons - which for now nothing happens with them)and to make from scratch, so it's probably takes most of their time and resources. The New Voltron toys are surprisingly good, I do have few complains, hopefully Playmates will fix those issues and it won't be the same with TMNT, making 70% Voltron toys and skimp on the rest.

Yeah... I'll admit I may pick up "undertaker Donatello" and turn him into undercover Donatello, I wish they would make those trench coat versions again.

im liking the sting one

bmpzlla 05-18-2017 03:51 AM

collectors value

the way i look at it is like this, it was a walmart exclusive, there will be limited stock, im a huge tmnt fan, back from the late 80's to the new movies and cartoons. i used to be a big wwe fan, but lost interest, but i kinda watch it from time to time. anyways, these will be a big collectors item, regardless of who is representing who and so on and so forth. playmates has a big money maker here, having the item be exclusive to one store, and limited releases, they hit the big jackpot with this. i got two sets, one set in the box, and one set hanging out in the living room! series two has rowdy roddy piper, the ultimate warrior, some guy frkm nxt finn bayler or something, and the rock. i will be buying those as well! but i think each store should have a different set of turtles dressed as wrestlers though, but thats just my opinion though.

KR DynobotPrime 05-18-2017 12:59 PM

Early Cuyler 05-19-2017 12:01 AM
