name of 1970s 3d collectors cards?
Hi All,
When I was growing up as a lad (mid 70s) in UK. I remember buying packets of cards that had cartoon 3d images which if you rotated the card the image would move slightly. They had a kind of ribbed pastic surface to produce this effect. I remember I had an album and I even compleated the set. I inparticularly remember having loads of 'swaps' and wating to find the one card that completed my set. What a day that was when I bought a packet of cards and there it was. I wondered at the time if this 'last card' had been deliberatly withheld to make collectors buy more cards (cleaver marketing) Anyway I've been searcing the internet to see if I could find out what these cards are called, or even which company made them, I'd like to revisit those pictures, just to see them once again. But I cant find anything. I wonder if anyone here might be able to offer a lead? I'm sure that these cards were a one off, I mean there wasn't a new series every year. I think that cardpackets might have contained a square slice of bubble gum :-) Any help with this would be greatly appreciated. Best wishes to all here. Popcornnn |
