Is this a knock off Neca Batman?

I was wondering if this is old stock being sold in a new style box, or possibly a knockoff being sold? The original packaging was not like this at all. Notice the extra parts are placed up high next to the figure, and the entire box is in a plastic clam shell type enclosure.

Yup, think that's a knock off. Lot of them going around right now.

I kinda thought so. I wonder how similar the figure is to the real thing? EDIT - I just got a tweet back from Neca and they said NECA Retweeted
100% knock-off bootleg etc.

The old stock was being sold off these past few months, as I started running into these again at TRUs all over the place, but they definitely weren't packaged like that. I'm pretty sure that's a bootleg given how shoddy the card in the packaging is done, but since NECA got back to you on it already, it's confirmed.

The real question is now, did the bootlegger improve the quality of the figure somehow? Those original NECA ones were seemingly made of glass and peanut brittle. The original NECA Turtles were the same way, requiring you to handle them with kid's gloves, but I can say for sure, that the KO set of NECA Turtles that I just recently received does not have that issue one bit, actually improving on the originals a little bit in terms of durability. I wonder if these Keaton knock offs are any better, and if that means a KO Reeve Superman is just down the road...

One thing I see as a big flaw are the gaps on each side of his face. It almost looks like they used a new mold for the mask that doesn't fit right. I like how they put the box in plastic, but that would be about it.

I still see these restock every so often at my TRU, just saw four new ones on the shelf today in fact. If you're curious and just want an authentic one then take a trip to TRU and see if they're stocked.

There are plenty of bootleg Neca Superman and Batman figs floating around ebay. The paint apps are definitely not Neca quality but the mold is for the most part identical. No clue on how the joints are compared to the real mccoy but there wasn't much to the posability of these figs other than pairing off in a stoic upright battle position lol.
