Custom Firefly figure from Batman's Rogues Gallery
 

Garfield Lynns was a professional pyrotechnics expert who worked in the entertainment industry and eventually turned to crime. Now he is an Arsonist for hire and a C-List Batman villain known as Firefly. Firefly's suit is flame and heat resistant and he is armed with a Winged Jet Pack and Flamethrower!

If you do a Google Image Search on Firefly, you'll find he doesn't really have one definitive, classic look. A lot of his suits are all Grey or Silver and the helmet usually has antennae, bug eyes and vents at the mouth. There is lots of room for interpretation. At first I was going to use Orange paint to break up the monotony of the all-grey costume, but I wasn't crazy about they way it turned out and went with Red for the highlights after I found the Red Plastic Hose in my Fodder Bin.

This custom Firefly figure began life as a Movie Ant-Man figure I bought on Clearance for $5. I used Milliput to sculpt over the eyes on the helmet and the exposed part of his face. I cut off the little antennae and replaced them with long metal pins. The Winged Jet Pack came from a Funko Legacy Val figure from a video game called Evolve That I also found on Clearace. The Flamethrower is from a generic G.I. Joe (or G.I. Faux as I like to call them) and the Flamethrower hose came from a Batman Legacy Mr. Freeze (Irony). I repainted him from head to toe with Black, Grey, Silver and Gunmetal Acrylic Paints. I mixed Red, Yellow and Orange Paints to better match the color of the Flamethrower Hose and used that for all the red details on his costume. Thanks for looking!
