HELL YAH! I hope wade gets an updated release as well.

donmeca2020 11-18-2016 08:28 PM

i'm in shock.... marvel select is actually coming out with a figure that is NOT movie related.

redfox 11-19-2016 08:30 AM

She looks good. Love that she comes with Headpool. Slightly dissapointed with the base, though.

Bearjew 11-19-2016 08:48 AM

Looks like it is well done

CoolToysOnly 11-19-2016 01:27 PM

Definitely getting this figure. I wish we could get a newer Select Deadpool figure because the old one is too large for both comic & movie figures. I tweeted to Diamond Select & their answer was no, that they are happy with their version. I wish they could actually listen to the fans & take feedback.

WTF?!! Are you serious? They actually said no? That's crazy. While the old DP wasn't a horrible figure it could still use an update. I'm surprised the movie didn't get a figure. Would've been a perfect choice and he could fit in with both comic and movie collections. Better than a shirtless Hugh Jackman Wolverine.

Bearjew 11-20-2016 09:40 AM

I like the last Deadpool, sculpt, accessories, everything was great, size could be altered but that is a tiny thing compared to all the good. I am glad they are focusing their attention on new stuff like this lady deadpool. I may not get it (yeah right) but it is a sign that they are moving forward in their product line. If they spent all their time on re-sculpts there would be no new stuff.

redfox 11-20-2016 11:10 AM

I'm just glad to see a new female figure in the Select lineup. Hope we can see another soon.

The articulation (Especially the hips!!!) was pretty awful though.

Who's to say she doesn't? It only shows one sword but there's clearly at least 2. She very well could have extra hands, head, and weapons that we don't see here. ;)

What the hell are those guys talking about, diamond select actually believes that that barely articulated Deadpool that's got the brick wall diorama, is good enough for today's standards?.I own that figure and it is HEAVILY in need of an update!! Its got old school articulation and it doesn't even work. The hinges are rubbery and it's horrible in the posability department. The paint and weapons however are why I keep the figure. It's also HUGE comparitively to other figures

That is true. articulation could have been MUCH better. If you click on the link above the picture there is a description. says that she comes with the base, swords, a bazooka, and Headpool. I don't like the looks of the thigh joints though, looks to be big gaps. Hopefully the actual figure will be better. The hips look to have ball joints. Looks like it will be updated over Deadpool

TheGr8One 11-20-2016 07:43 PM

Although the Marvel Select line has improved greatly over the years, they seem to be constantly inconsistent with their scale/articulation. The recent Civil War Iron Man is smaller than Cap, which is ridiculous. The Bucky figure is decent but his arms are too scrawny. Cap has horrible leg articulation compare to the Winter Soldier Cap. Then you look at the Spectacular Spidey or The Mighty Thor, which are both awesome figure with great accessories & articulation. Whenever I mentioned about any flaws or inconsistency on Twitter , they pretty much say that they like it or Marvel approved it. The color for CW Iron Man is off, I own a bootleg Mark 43 & CW Iron Man, that looks more accurate to the movie, almost look like an upscale Figuarts figure. I want them to interact like Neca, take our feedback from us fans. I know there's licensing issues with Fox movie property, that's why there's no Select or Legends movie figures. This lady Deadpool figure looks amazing & I would love to have a Deadpool that matches like her instead of their previous version. I liked the accessories it came with but he was as big as Colossus & his articulation sucked.

Diamond Select mentioned on their Facebook page that she wouldn't have extra hands.

Bearjew 11-20-2016 10:28 PM

I hate that you brought up Mighty Thor. This may be drifting off topic a little but not only will they not stick to articulation that works but they won't even keep producing well articulated figures like MIGHTY THOR! I have been wanting a good one for my collection now but Mighty Thor prices are outrageous! Makes me angry, thanks a lot gre8tone

The Heat 11-21-2016 09:44 AM

I'm a huge fan of Marvel Select, even some of the older offerings that have inferior articulation. When it comes to deciding between Select and Legends, I'll take sculpt over articulation any day.

What concerns me about Marvel Select in general though, is that their release schedule is sooooooooo sporadic that it leaves me contemplating switching to Legends just so I can get more complete teams at regular intervals. I don't want to have to do this, but at this rate it looks like Diamond will never finish some of the teams I'm trying to collect.

I too am a Marvel select fan. I can't get into the legends line. Instead of changing to the other lines and getting frustrated with size differences. I chose to go with another genre entirely. I got into the NECA Predator lines to fill the gaps between Select figures. The Predator figures are really close to the select in size so they kind of fill that void. I have been fighting the urge to get on the Star Wars Black Series though. I have really been hoping to get another Marvel select Rhino and Redskull. I need Rhino for the Spiderman line and Redskull for the Captain America.

BBManik 11-23-2016 02:22 PM

Man, Select could be the best line in the business but Diamond has been getting it so wrong for a while now. Primarily focussing on the movies, rehashing the same characters over and over.

Seeing this has made me hopeful that they're going to branch out to different characters & offer us something different. I just hope it sells & shows them that people do want to see something other than movie tie-ins.

Actually with the DST toys (except Deadpool who is larger) and NECA's toys both being a 7" scale you can totally combine them to have some wacky cross-dimensional showdowns. However being based on comic books for the most part many select figures will be bigger than a standard 7" scale figure but overall it still works.
