Best 1/12 Darth Vader?
 

Hey guys, I'm in the market for a 1/12 Vader figure but I'm having a tough time deciding between the upcoming MAFEX Rogue One figure or the Bandai model kit. I'm leaning more towards the Bandai kit because its much more affordable and I don't have to wait till August, plus it looks like the upcoming Vader doesn't even include a saber blade! If anyone has either the Bandai kit or the original MAFEX figure, would you mind sharing your thoughts on them?

I know a lot of people consider the model kit as the best yet.

I own the mafex version.. It's nice, but the head looks a little odd to me.

If I were in your position, I'd probably go with the upcoming mafex version. I believe the model kit requires a small amount of painting (not sure if you're into that).. My biggest dislike about the model kit is the hard plastic cape.. I think it looks very strange. But, that too can be customized and it seems easy enough to add a cloth cape if you want (it doesn't include one though).

Plus, models are almost always fun to build.. But with that said, I'd probably go with the upcoming mafex version.
